  1. 60 Ks in 36 innings (15 K/9) and opponents batted .189/.303/.291 ....pretty dominant
  2. Soroka was dominant in his stint as an RP last year, so for 9M they are getting that as a fallback option to starting.
  3. 63 days until Spring Training. #63 has been worn by four Blue Jays, including Kevin Gregg who notched a career high 37 saves for the Jays in 2010.
  4. 64 days until Spring Training! #64 has been worn by eight different Blue Jays, mostly brief stints but the most tenured was Chad Jenkins (2012-2015).
  5. I think it's spelled Lethbridge
  6. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article/former-raptors-c-jontay-porter-to-be-sentenced-on-criminal-charges-wednesday/ Porter will be sentenced tomorrow and is expected to receive prison time
  7. 65 days until Spring Training! #65 has been worn by three Blue Jays of minor impact, most recently Hagen Danner
  8. The Blue Jays announced their 2025 coaching staff on Monday afternoon. The only previously unreported addition is assistant pitching coach Sam Greene. The 27-year-old Greene is one of the younger coaches on an MLB staff. This is his first big league coaching work. The Jays noted that he spent the ’24 season working as a senior pitching research specialist. Greene, a Pennsylvania native, pitched collegiately in Canada at Montreal’s McGill University. He has worked for the Jays for four seasons. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/12/blue-jays-finalize-coaching-staff.html#google_vignette
  9. I get more of a Japanese Chris Bassitt vibe Here's a look at Sugano's repertoire, per available NPB data for 2024: 4-seam fastball -- 26% usage / 92 mph Cutter -- 20% usage / 87 mph Slider -- 20% usage / 82 mph Splitter -- 17% usage / 86 mph Sinker -- 9% usage / 91 mph Curveball -- 8% usage / 77 mph Maybe not quite Bassitt unless you swap the 4 seamer and sinker usage. But pretty much similar velocity and a similar 'kitchen sink meant to keep you on your toes enough to induce soft contact' approach
  10. Their third highest paid player behind Eflin (18M) and O'Neil (16.5M)
  11. 66 days until Spring Training! #66 has been worn by seven players in Jays history, none more colorful than this guy
  12. 67 days until Spring Training! #67 has been worn by five Blue Jays, all since 2013. The most notable was RHP Julian Merryweather, who wore 67 from 2020-2022.
  13. That's type of guy you platoon with Grichuk and his 151 wRC+ vs lefties
  14. 68 days until Spring Training! There have been four players to wear #68 in Toronto, but none more notable than recently departed closer Jordan Romano, who wore the number from 2019-2024.
  15. Tucker missed half a season this past year, but there wasn't a huge difference between Soto/Tucker from 2021-2023
  16. I'm pretty ok with the Yanks dumping a bunch of money into Fried and Bellinger this off season
  17. 69 days until Spring Training, nice! #69 has been worn by two Blue Jays their history, RHP Peter Munro in 1999, and lefty Tommy Milone in 2021. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/news/uniform-numbers-69-nationals-aj-cole-bronson-arroyo-alan-mills-jordy-mercer-eric-fryer-peter-munro/w4hww96ogi821es8gugiguijo 'The rationale and history behind wearing '69' on your MLB uniform'
  18. He's definitely open to the possible existence of a universe wherein an occurence of that nature has some level of hypothetical probability - what more can we really ask?
