    No, I don't. No one cares what Cecil's ERA and W/L record looked like, those stats do not provide proper analysis into the quality of a pitcher.

    With the recent departure of Cecil, our bullpen situation suddenly appears a lot more bare. Who do you currently have pencilled into our bullpen slots? What openings do you see and who would you target to fill them?

    This is another example of why you're looking at the wrong stats to draw conclusions.

    The saddest part is that these same idiots who wanted him gone will probably boo him when he returns.

    This would be a horrible contract for a middle reliever. It's fairly obvious that the teams that made a push for Cecil were planning to use him as a high leverage guy, and rightfully so.

    Tough to see Cecil leave as he's been a key contributor and we could still really use him. That being said, I can understand the hesitancy to offer a fourth year. Here's hoping that we are able to add an adequate replacement like Logan without having to overpay. Kudos to Cecil for his many years of great service and best of luck in St. Louis!

    Yeah that would be a sight for sore eyes, would hate to see him in pinstripes. The potential silver lining - maybe EE doesn't help put them over the top or declines and instead the Yankees delay their retool by giving us a 1st and have big money wrapped up in an aging DH.

    AAA depth, but he's shown the ability to miss bats.

    There are plenty of teams who have yet to make a move as substantial as the Morales signing. It's way too early to be complaining about this off season.

    I'd be shocked if Atkins is done adding to the big league roster.

    The arguments for a 26 man roster make a lot of sense. In general I think extra usage of specialized players will generate extra excitement. I hate the idea of restricting reliever usage in any way, let teams use their players as they see fit. I'm finding myself split on the issue of September call ups. There are valid arguments for and against it.

    Eaton would be a great addition but not at that price.

    You moved Alford up 95 spots on your list. The only games he's played during that time are in the AFL and you said those games don't matter, what gives?

    It's always worth exploring what you could get in return for an asset at peak value. I'm also happy with the rotation as is.

    Selling high in terms of trade value. Happ's performance may continue to shine, but he has two years remaining on this affordable deal, coming off this career season his trade value may never be greater.

    There's also possibly Biagini to consider for the 5th starters role.

    He can play OF, but he's been below average out there for a few years now and that will only likely get worse. I'm not saying we wouldn't be able to use him out there at all, but I believe that both he Morales are best suited to spending the majority of their time as DH.

    The idea of moving a veteran starter in exchange for Puig has crossed my mind, is it realistic?

    I read that we were mentioned as one of the teams showing interest in Beltran, but I have to assume this is old news from prior to the Morales signing that has just been leaked now. Beltran and Morales should both be used primarily in the DH spot at this point, I can't see investing in both.

    That's basically my take, Bo had an extremely impressive pro debut and could easily shoot up the list next year, but for now I couldn't justify putting him ahead of other guys with impressive tools who are having success in the upper minors.
