  1. Not that Turner praise makes anyone feel good but that was a damn good take by a young hitter in this scenario to start the AB.
  2. Nah he was just comparing the two leagues and used the Jays as an example. He did say he saw the NL as more of a team game (which is dumb) but I didn't take that as any stab at the Jays.
  3. Kershaw throwing in the pen!
  4. He probably didn't think we were watching haha. That "NL is more of a team game" theory was bull, unless stripped down its simplest literal meaning. He said that our World Series teams only used 9 or 10 hitters and used it as a comparison to NL teams using their whole bench.
  5. Just tuning in, looks like we have a ballgame on our hands.
  6. All that implosion talk must have really been directed towards the Sox!
  7. 100% agreed. Qualify him and see where the season goes, or maybe someone more hungry for a RH bat offers a multi year deal and we get a pick out of it.
  8. It could go either way though, they may limit his effectiveness by pitching back to back games on short rest.
  9. Max Scherzer takes the mound for the Nats, and the Dodgers will counter with Rich Hill. Who will punch their ticket to a NLCS meeting with the Cubs?
  10. Haha no worries, accuracy is a good thing.
  11. Oops you're right, my bad - point still stands though. Outside of Texas you're definitely in the minority on that one.
  12. Haha one play better in Game 3 perhaps, but what about the two previous games, especially Game 2 when they took a s***-kicking? What a dumb line to toss out after you've been swept.
  13. Any openings? The pool I've won the past couple years isn't running this year.
  14. Did anyone else cringe their way through the interview he had with Rangers 3B coach Tony Beasley regarding the latter's ongoing battle with rectal cancer? Some very tastelessly worded questions. Best of luck to Beasley with his fight and upcoming surgery by the way, f*** cancer.
  15. Nope, at least not publicly. He said he didn't accept the trade because Cleveland wouldn't guarantee him the starting job behind the plate next season due to the presence of Yan Gomes. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/08/jonathan-lucroy-explains-veto-of-indians-trade.html
  16. It sure did, although you can't expect sunshine and roses out of a "travelling to Cleveland" thread.
  17. Tougher matchup for this upcoming round maybe? I would have thought they'd still be the favourite.
  18. I believe it was Nick Cafardo who suggested that we may not extend a qualifying offer to Bautista, which is ridiculous as far as I'm concerned.
  19. Sounds about right to me, but I'd be ok with bringing back Barney for depth, preferably at a lower rate though.
  20. It would be that much worse for Odor being able to hear insults from across Canada with those satellites hanging off each side of his head.
  21. http://sportige.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Rangers-Sponsor-e1444913196514.jpg
  22. Voted 'anyone' because I like our chances against any team right now, but if I had to choose one of the first two options it would be Cleveland.
  23. "I'd rather be punched in May than knocked out in October" ALDS 2016
  24. Thanks for handing us the last laugh Odor
