  1. You can say those players shouldn't have been held in high regard, but they were and that's all I was referring to. Outside of the big two, we've seen a lot of either underperformance (SRF, Tellez, Urena etc) or injuries (Alford, Gurriel etc) from the others who were considered to be among our top prospects. Particularly disappointed that we haven't seen any of the top arms step up and make our 2018 SP depth look any stronger. So yes, I'm grateful that Vlad and Bo have been so impressive, otherwise it hasn't been an overly positive year among those who were considered to be our best prospects. That doesn't mean I'm worried at all about the state of our farm overall.
  2. I'm so grateful that those two are in our system. Otherwise it has not been an overly positive year on the farm between underperformance and injury, but those two make up for it.
  3. Seems as though the eye test has failed you on this one, statistically speaking Goins definitely is not the better defender at SS, so you have no basis for having that opinion.
  4. Can you post the BA mid season top 10 for the Jays? Thanks in advance!
  5. Maybe it's Fulmer, seems unlikely but his name has been floated around. Would take one heck of a return, Cole fits into the same category.
  6. First thought was maybe Darvish, but if those two are getting packaged up I'd think the Dodgers would be after someone controlled beyond this year.
  7. Power with a lot of K's
  8. I realize what you're saying but from my perspective it's weird to hear anything close to the GTA referred to as the middle of no where lol
  9. What a rope! Atta boy Pearce! Some pro AB's there
  10. I always just assumed it was limited to arguing the strike zone itself.
  11. Lol I was jk, Zaun a couple times per game is enough.
  12. Agreed, I pondered the idea earlier in the year but then noticed he was hurt again. Probably the type of blocked, buy low player we should be pursuing.
  13. To move him full time to LF? I could get behind that, and seems feasible, doesn't appear he has a future in KC.
  14. Nice snare by Chapman. Kid has some impressive range at 3B and good pop, he'll be a fine ballplayer if the hit tool catches up enough.
  15. Talk of Rene Rivera being available, not much of a bat but still a way better backup than what we've seen this year in my opinion.
  16. I have no advice but enjoy! Sounds like a blast
  17. We should trade for a good rental backup catcher and get them signed to an extension for next year +. Such a sore spot all season, really don't want to see another year of it.
  18. I've had that Brugman guy stashed on my LoD bench for awhile now, A's seem to think he's their CF of the future and he's starting to hit.
