  1. We already have two 3B in the majors. Until Donaldson is traded / injured, Vlad would be playing 1B/DH if called up (likely replacing Morales). September call up and starting 3B in 2019 is still my preference. It'd be disappointing if he wasn't called up until this time next year for service time reasons. He was an outfielder when he was signed, he's already had his position moved. He's still learning 3B and the front office must believe he can stick there.
  2. Ohtani's start is the free game of the day on MLB.com starting in less than 10 minutes. Watching that will hopefully erase the memory of today's game!
  3. He was never going to get through waivers, still can't understand the unnecessary dfa.
  4. So this is a low point for the season, we've been really bad in the field, done nothing at the plate, and looks like we'll be swept. So look on the bright side the only way is up, haha.
  5. Yup, he could still play a valuable role as the long reliever.
  6. Cannot remember the last sacrifice bunt
  7. Maybe someone desperate for a catcher will trade for him at the deadline.
  8. Thought that was going to drop
  9. Bautista's last MLB homerun (from Monday):
  10. Biagini's last chance as a starter?

  12. Could still be traded if he stays out of prison, but yeah if he's guilty he's done in Toronto.
  13. One big wildcard is Osuna. Depending on his legal situation he could be back next month, traded for a haul in the summer, or traded for nothing/released.
  14. That is a ridiculous statement when the 2nd wildcard is wide open, and there’s nearly 120 games left.
  15. I’d like to see thIs seasons strategy of giving prospects playing time continue. Hopefully Jansen, and SRF are the next to be given a chance, and some of the players who have already been up get longer runs in the team.
  16. It’s also too early for teams to make significant trades anyway. Most teams are still evaluating their needs.
  17. Morales gets a hit, Urshela hits a homerun, our starter doesn’t give up a run, and the bullpen blows the game. It must be opposite day.
  18. If Jim had his way we’d be watching a team of scrubs lose 100 games in an empty stadium for the next 4-5 years while Vlad’s first few seasons were completely wasted. Instead we’re watching a team that’s 3.5 games out of a wildcard with over 100 games left, that’s had multiple prospects play already, has Vlad ready to step up (closely followed by Bo), and has a ton of payroll space opening up the next 2 seasons to compliment the team. I’ve always thought playoffs are a bonus this year, it’s more important to have some prospects establish themselves. TLDR: Jim is a tool.
  19. You have a weird definition of bleak: SRF / Borucki / Romano = 2019 Pearson / Zeuch / Pardinho = future Got to think at least 2 of those turn into useful players.
  20. Haha, you may be right! FWIW he's averaging a hit every 3 games (he's hit in 10 of his 30 games), he's hitting .333 in a way!
