If reports are correct and the Jays beat out the Dodgers and the Rays, and who knows who else, Atkins just bagged the elephant in terms of RP's available. Extend Atkins now!! I may just start the "Extend Atkins" thread to piss off a host of posters on this board (you know who you are).

Atkins and Co. obviously decided a while ago that they could dump Kloffenstien/Robberse. Would love to get a sneak peek at the white board in Atkins office with all the names on it. As of right now, which bullpen in the AL would you rather have over ours?

He hasn't been 100% for weeks since the all star game and was on the roster. Back problems can be lingering hence he may have to be deployed more carefully, therefore Hicks may have to come to the fore as closer.

Hicks has a 31% k rate this season. I wonder if he could bounce Romano from the closers position or will it by closer by committee? I don't see Romano losing his closer status though.
