    Seems we’re on the same page with this. That being said, I don’t dislike Vladdy as a person or a player. I just think the best move for the org is to move on. Some of the anti Vlad comments so far are borderline irrational.

    I know casuals don’t like to hear it but the smart move is to unload both Bichette and Vladdy and just hit the reset button. Get what you can for them (especially Vladdy who’s value dips every year) over the next two years and move on as an organization. I would be fine with that because I don’t give a s*** what the fan base thinks. Hopefully Shapiro and Atkins think the same.

    Is Springer washed at 33 years old? I expected his downturn to be when he turned 35. But one hit in his last 43 ab’s and we’re getting into Chris Davis territory. The Jays organization really has to react here. Call in a special assistant (Dante Bichette?) to get these bats going. Don’t know how much blame to place on hitting coaches (do players even listen to them?) but maybe a firing is in order to, if nothing else, wake these guys up.

    Short of winning the World Series, how they handle the Bo and Vladdy contract situations may well be the defining points of the Shapiro/Atkins era. Whether it involves trading or signing it will impact this team for the rest of this decade. Interesting times ahead.
