Small guys like Schneider have a tough road to hoe. Always have to be 10% better than bigger players who have the same metrics. Hope he gets a shot but the Jays seem conservative with the call ups. Maybe the Bo injury will prompt them into action if Atkins can’t consummate a deal for De Jong, Anderson, etc.

You kind of have to be visionary to see it. If they can pry Perez out of KC that would be a Yankee type move as well. Not sure why KC doesn’t move him. His legacy ain’t that great.

It is a sellers market right now. Seattle could get a decent haul for Raleigh as catchers are at a premium for availability right now. Their number one prospect is Harry Ford. He is close to ready and will be their primary catcher of the future. Make the move and bide time until he is ready. It adds up.

I think they are waiting to see if the Mariners are in sell mode. If yes, they will no doubt try to get Cal Raleigh.

If reports are correct and the Jays beat out the Dodgers and the Rays, and who knows who else, Atkins just bagged the elephant in terms of RP's available. Extend Atkins now!! I may just start the "Extend Atkins" thread to piss off a host of posters on this board (you know who you are).
