It's looking like the trip to the Dunedin complex could have been for a physical, in which case this could be a done deal and they're just waiting for the right time to announce. Atkins dropped off the Soto train in a hurry and this could be why. A deal done in principle could have already happened. I think it did. Hold your breath time. -

I have heard that the media rights for the Jays to the Japanese market could earn them over $40 million a year. If Yamamoto did indeed ask to meet with the Jays, does this mean he knows the Ohtani deal is locked in? The breadcrumbs sure seems to lead to that conclusion.

Not getting Ohtani isn't a failure. They are taking a shot, which is better than the bulk of MLB teams. We're in the conversation so let's see what transpires before we get the pitchforks out in front of Blue Jays Way.
