Excited to watch real Baseball in a week. I’m glad Ohtani fathered Trout last night though.

I have no reason to lie about not watching this tournament. I might turn it on if Japan is ahead late in the game.

Otto Lopez, Addison Barger, and Spencer Horwitz should all be in AAA playing everyday. They still have a chance to be something more decent than an end of the bench player. And would get more value currently getting that playing time. Journeymen like Lukes or Bernard are perfect for 26th man. You pick whatever one provides you with something useful whether it’s Defense, Speed, or a chance not to be useless with the bat. Lukes is already on the 40-man so he seems like the most logical choice. Although he could just be swapped out for Bernard. Probably lose Lukes on waivers which hurts you depth wise a little bit. You bring Lukes to start you could probably keep Bernard for AAA. Unless he gets a last minute shot to catch on elsewhere.

Yes but not every game. Probably a handful that I’m interested in. I really don’t have time to watch Baseball all night during the week. Twitter exists Spanky.

I would watch more College Baseball if it was readily available. I really don’t enjoy going down the internet rabbit hole to find something. I just don’t think I can get into the WBC unless I see the Canadian players care more. We really have no shot at getting out of the group if our best Pitchers don’t show up. You can only get upsets with great pitching. The teenage A-Ball pitcher they trotted out against Team USA was pretty embarrassing.

Lukes makes the roster so legit prospects don’t have to sit on the bench as the 26th man.

You’re not. I couldn’t careless about it. Haven’t watched a single pitch. Just glad there’s no Blue Jays in it so we don’t have to worry about injury.

I actually forgot we had Brandon Belt. That’s kinda cool. Hopefully he does stay healthy.

    Congrats to him.

It’s still a very weird thing to say going into a new season. I mean its a nice gesture sure. But sounds like something that should be discussed behind closed doors. Now we’re going to hear about it for the next four months.

I actually don’t think this bold anymore. Berrios has looked f***ing terrible in his appearances so far.

Votto as a pinch hitter later this season sounds intriguing. He wouldn’t be coming in to play everyday.

-Danny Jansen leads AL Catchers in Homeruns. -Alejandro Kirk struggles immensely with the bat hitting in the low .200’s and gets optioned to AAA at one point in the Season. -Vladdy attemps 20 steals -Biggio emerges as the everyday Second Baseman -Bo Bichette puts up a 30/30 Season -Matt Chapman leads the team in WAR -Dalton Varsho leads the team in Homeruns -Kevin Kiermaier has the best offensive season of his career. -George Springer plays 150 games -Kevin Gausman finishes Top 5 CY Young -Ricky T is closing games in September and gets the save in the Blue Jays first post season victory. -Kikuchi posts a better FIP than Berriors -Bullpen has atleast 5 new regular members by Season end (Minors or Trades)

Lack of representation from the Canadian players has always been brutal. I remember Russell Martin said he would only play if he could play SS and not Catcher. Canada said no so he didn’t play.

Wait does Cuba forgive defecters now lol?

Hopefully Vlad will be extra motivated now. And hopefully this is the last year of this tournament. Its time to do away with it.

Lets hope things Click for the Jays with him aboard.

I didn’t realize we had Jay Jackson in camp. Journey man who has missed bats in his career. Could be a sneaky pick to make the team.
  22. Jonn
    Yup.

I don’t even know if I trust Kikuchi in a Spring game.

Barger is definitely a Second Baseman. It would be great if he could play 3B and corner OF in a pinch though. If he hits the way he looks like he can hit he will be in the lineup. I really surprised Merrifield, Espinal, and Biggio are all still here.

First look at the kid before he comes and dominates in June.
