  1. A lot of Otto Lopez fans around here. My question is if you really think so much of him why do you want him on the bench getting 4 AB’s a week and not everyday reps at AAA? The 26th roster spot is inconsequential. Luke’s gives a natural 4th OF who sitting on the bench majority of week doesn’t negatively effect anything.
  2. He’s done it before. You never know!
  3. We can only take so much from Spring Training but if nothing else Kikuchi definitely has some confidence right now. I’m not expecting anything crazy but if he can just be the decent #4 or #5 he was signed to be everyone would be thrilled.
  4. Apparently Jay Jackson had opportunities to sign with lesser clubs and pitch in the Big Leagues but opted to stay with the Blue Jays. Considering how many relievers each team goes through every year he’s going to be here at some point.
  5. He’s basically Dominican Bradley Zimmer. But because hes 24 people remain intrigued. He will continue to float around the league being s*** until hes 30 and disappear.
  6. He’s out of options and didn’t make the Opening Day roster.
  7. Did Zimmer actually play that much? He got the odd start but most of his appearances in Defense or Base Running situations. Did having him swing a bat all suck? Yes. But it hardly impacted wins and losses. I just looked it up Zimmer got 89 At-Bats in over 100 games played lol. When regulars are out Merrifield, Biggio, and Espinal will be getting those at-bats. Not s*** bags like Zimmer and Bradley Jr. I’m confident if real playing time opened up due to injury Otto Lopez is the first guy coming up. And he will be coming up with everyday at-bats under his belt.
  8. 26th man is rarely important or used. Hes a warm body. Let players with actual potential get at-bats and playing time. Pearson should 100% be here. Unless they plan to convert him back into a Starter but pretty sure that ship has sailed.
  9. Lets f***ing Go! He will impact this bullpen this season for sure. He’s excellent Triple-A depth. I said Pop not Richards. I’m still a big believer in Richards because of his ability to get swing and miss. I will make this clear again. Zach Pop is nothing. He would be waiver fooder if he wasn’t 26. He will be in a few years when he gets passed around the league for the next handful of years. My prediction he plays for 8 different teams in his career.
  10. They want Otto Lopez to actually play and get at-bats. Having him on the roster to barely play makes no sense. One of Merrifield, Espinal or Biggio needs to be moved out. I’m assuming one of Merrifield, Espinal, and Biggio will be moved by the deadline. Having all 3 makes very little sense. Considering Espinal can play SS and 3B he would be least likely to move. Would rather Otto Lopez get everyday at-bats. It appears the Blue Jays feel the same.
  11. Assuming Chad Green returns healthy this Season. He instantly becomes the Blue Jays best reliever.
  12. Middle of the pack sounds about right.
  13. You listed 2 players lol. Pop I didn't consider part of the main roster. Was actually surprised he made the team. But to clarify Espinal sucks against RHP. Which is true. And Pop sucks in general. I actually really happy with the rest of the roster at the moment. Deepest Blue Jays team is recent memory. EDIT: Oh yea f*** Mitch White. I was very clear I disliked that trade from the moment it happened.
  14. Yup. Always have felt this way as well. You should see the teams I have built on MLB The Show.
  15. I’m trying but there’s better bullpen options. Jay Jackson was one of them.
  16. He doesn’t got that dog in him too miss bats though. He’s in the AL East now.
  17. Yankees took Pop’s sinker deep twice today lol. It fits perfectly in the modern game with those uppercut swings. Swing and miss is King.
  18. Pearson has barely pitched in the Majors. And Pop has given up more hits than IP and barely strikes anyone out. Hard to imagine him being anymore than a passable Middle Reliever who floats around the league for a handful of years.
  19. I think Pearson can rack up K’s. He just hasn’t pitched for an extended period of time to form any consistently. He has dominant over powering stuff and has displayed it. Pop throws hard but hitters cover everything he throws.
  20. Am I the only one who think Pop f***ing blows? He’s literally nothing. As long as Thornton doesn’t make the team. I actually feel Richards could bounce back and be effective because he actually misses bats. Problem is when he doesn’t.
  21. Not a fan of that decision. He was fantastic all Spring. He didn’t even give up a run. He misses a ton of bats. He’s probably going to go somewhere and have a very good season. Literally don’t know what else he could have done.
  22. Crazy that this time last year Berrios was the Opening Starter and this season he might open as the 5th lol
  23. Mikolas is a bitch. That comment he made about Lars returning from the WBC confirmed it. Hope Lars f***s his wife.
