  1. Obviously Varsho is the best CF in Baseball. But Straw is pretty good as well. Knowing that you can plug in Straw who won the gold glove a few years ago is pretty nice.
  2. Gimenez finally in the 9th hole where he should be the entire Season. Those March games were fun though!
  3. They said they would ease him in. Doesn't mean he won't come into the game later. He probably will.
  4. Hoping potentially someone like David Robertson as well. Possibly JD Martinez. But don’t know where would fit.
  5. Its a combination of last year as well. Not declaring it after 3 games. Looking where the teams were at after Year 1. Compared to now. I would say it’s been a pretty big swing.
  6. That trade has taken quite the turn. Year 1 it looked lopsided with the Dbacks going all the way to the World Series. Both Gurriel and Moreno being apart of that. Moreno followed up hitting 4 homeruns in 17 playoff games with just 5 total last year. And once again the power has completely vanished. Gurriel has just been flat out awful so far but he's always been a streaky hitter. He looks unbelievable at times and the worst player in Baseball at other times. Meanwhile Varsho been doing his thing. Now getting full value in CF. Now the Dbacks wish they didn't make that trade. I don't even think you could say it worked out well for both teams. It just completely flipped lol.
  7. Not trying to jinx the man. Just giving him the credit he is due. I was critical of him in the past but he has emerged as something better than even I think the Blue Jays themselves have expected. He's been a reliever for a long time and he's way better than he ever was. You see stories about late bloomers in Baseball every year but it's usually a failed starter that becomes a reliever. Like Jeff Hoffman. Or a guy that washed out completely goes to Japan, Korea, or Independent Leagues and finds his way back. Yimi just throws harder and his stuff moves more. Its interesting to me.
  8. So in 2022 Garcia was a decent middle reliever for us. But he wasn't really striking anyone out. 2023 his K rate went way up but his performance was a little more volatile despite once again being a sold middle relief option. 2024 Velo went up K rate stayed great but got injured and ultimately got shipped off to Seattle where he kinda sucked but also was hurt. 2025 Velo has stabilized and actually has been up at times and he's been basically unhittable Pretty impressive considering he's done this all in his 30's.
  9. So the 2 games the Jays have won in a row. Are the games they lost seemingly every time last year and the beginning of this year. So this has been quite fun! Homeruns are fun! Keep doing that please!
  10. Well I guess we were thinking the same thing lol
  11. Garcia is just apparently just throwing harder and getting better with age. I know he was very good in the first half of last year but he's been even better this year.
  12. Varsho having an excellent at-bats. Its like he hasn't missed a beat since Spring.
  13. Shocked they pitched to him. But nice Vladdy. Another come from behind win would be crazy.
  14. I would imagine they aren't going to give Vladdy anything to hit so hopefully he doesn't get himself out.
  15. Jesus Abreu.... I will take it lol
  16. Well he's 100 percent going to opt out and there was mutual interest in the off-season.
  17. Fluharty had a couple rough appearances to begin his Career but since has been pretty fantastic despite not being over powering. Decent K rate. Not giving up many hits. Walks are a little high but John Schenider put this guy in terrible situations quite often lol
  18. Well that was inspiring. This game was seemingly over and they came all the way back. Something to build off to start May.
  19. Crazy how the back end of the Bullpen is no longer an issue as well. A little more depth would be nice. But between Little, Garcia, and Hoffman you have a reliable trio.
  20. And he pitched tonight behind because he hasn't worked much recently. Just odd decisions.
  21. This game is proving to ditch the contact approach and just sell out for power. I don't know why our players have a 2-strike approach in positive counts.
  22. Well you were signed to hit Homeruns. Guess what the Jays need. It's your time Santander
