    Because everything else he does outside of line-up construction and maybe BP management is reportedly amazing. Great with communication and players love him. As per Ross Atkins and Shapiro themselves, intangibles like that matter most with manager.

    Yeah, honestly, that's a really nice line-up. I'm quite impressed. Kirk hitting 5th is a great choice too. I never even thought of putting Teo hitting 3rd, but that's a great call. I definitely wanted to keep Bo at 4th, and this accomplishes that.

    We were all hoping to get a look at him, but that's ok, we'll see him at Rogers Centre soon enough.

    2 K's in a row on the nasty change is nice to see, but Berrios hasn't looked that great through the 1st two starts.

    I disagree. I've heard him on podcasts and read his articles on dot com. I would say he's quite a bit knowledgeable on them, especially Jays prospects.

    Eric Pardinho's fallen so far due to injuries that he's not in the Top 30 lol.

    He works for MLB.com and has for awhile, and is probably the most knowledgeable Blue Jays reporter out there when it comes to prospects. I'd have him ahead of Ben, Arden, Shi, & Mitchell.

    He was all over the zone, even with the fastball. He did miss a bit early on, but got in the rhythm in the 1st couple batters and then was throwing darts.

    I think they'll definitely keep him stretched out. From their perspective, if Ryu or Kikuchi go down, who do you want starting in their place? Pearson or Stripling/Kay/Hatch? I would think they'd prefer Pearson, if he's still with the team. Off-topic, but I've really liked what I've seen of Greg Bird in the 1st couple games. He's had really good swing decisions and a great eye. Any chance he could make the team? We do need someone to cover 1B any time Vlad needs a day off or DHs. And, as discussed previously, Bird did have a ton of potential at one point before injuries derailed him.
