Agreed. Price and Stro could rack up 10+ strikeouts each against them. I'd imagine Estrada would do the same if he keeps the fastball down, especially to Gattis, Carter, and Gomez.

Most of the Yankees being lefties certainly inflates his effectiveness a bit though. We could throw a lineup at him with 7 RHH.

Stroman will be the best kept secret we have. It seems most teams are completely under-rating our SP, and most view us as simply mashers plus David Price. I think Stro may actually end up having a better post-season than DP.

Damn, great article, but this guy is apparently a huge jinx, so let's hope he finally gets his pick correct this year. You some times forget how great our starting pitching has been since the all-star break, but it truly has been exceptional. The best thing of all, is other teams may under-prepare for us because they believe we're just powerhouses with one go pitcher. Hell, I heard a Texas Rangers beat writer say just that on baseball central yesterday.

s*** that's long time ago lol. Reed Johnson was awesome. I never looked at his OBP but it always seemed like he got on base and contributed.

Most definitely. I've been following this forum since its inception and before that the old team forum, and before this year all we had to be excited about was drafting/prospect development. This year has seriously been a long time coming.

I think AA pulls some magic and lands Carrasco in the off-season without including EE, JB, Travis, Osuna, Alford, or Vlad Jr. We'll see if I'm correct.

Here's a thought, what do you guys project Donaldson's 2016 to look like? I think his BABIP being less than .020 points higher than his average could mean something positive for his projectability?

Do the voters really still place any stock in RBI's and Runs? If they do, then it could be.

Hamels, specifically, I want us to smash because he seemingly dislikes Canada. It would be nice to give him a real reason for that no-trade clause.

I think this may be the only reason JD wins it. He's had an inferior year to Trout in nearly all important categories, except defensive WAR and clutch hits, but who knows really? It could go either way.

You think Dickey gives us a better chance than Stro, who hasn't even got into mid-season form yet, and is still pitching elite?

This is fine, though I'd much rather Carrera/Loup be off in favour of someone like Matt Hague.
