    The Downfall started when we let go a homegrown, now a world series winner GM. This an idiot ran franchise. I have been watching baseball since 1980, and i have yet to remember a more idiotic move, removing an ace level performance in the 4th inning.

    to be honest , it i am fine with this contract. really just a year extension, a year the club has no issue paying if they feel he needs to go, and the rest is club options. cant complain about that.

You dont like my opinion dont read it and move on. other posters above did not agree, however they were gracious and articulate to give their point of view. You however, seems you are limited to lol. I guess we can guess your age, and if we miss that, we can at least predict your social and discussion skills

    Please dont think i underestimate what gillick did. But what you stating on masai has to take into consideration the difference between the nba and mlb. The NBA is so restricted to the few upper echelon teams and masai was able to break the raptors into the upper echelon of teams . The kawhi trade was just the icing on the cake. Masai had to fight for it, from the speech at jurasic park to the rudy gay trade that started the rebirth as i call it, to the rebranding . it is not just about the championship

    yes as both those were great. But both did not have an nba team in canada to deal with. top Latin stars did not have issue with coming to toronto. nor did he have a full american bias to deal with. Also both those leagues were not leagues ran by players like the nba is, creating super teams etc etc Pollack was great, but was not hard at the time for the team he was managing. Gillick was insanely great as well, i would have had as 2nd best,only cause i believe the hand he was dealt was just easier to manage then masai.not cause he less talented. just my opinion, on a question that is subject to each persons interpretation.

    I say ray is both the biggest need and the biggest risk. But to win you need to take risks and now is the time to take it. We need two starters to begin, so losing him would be problematic with not many cy young candidates available on the market
