  1. Cant disagree more, i think the outlook for next year is bad as younger guys are integrated into the lineup, however in 2 years this will be a very exciting upcoming young team
  2. No wonder our management had a sparkle in their eye after the happ trade, and many were wondering how can drury give them that
  3. I think they believe he is breaking down
  4. Makes perfect sense. it was the price to pay for gurriel, and as of today fully worth it
  5. No question this team is a world series contender with one condition!!!!! It has to be a league full of orioles!
  6. Well said. People have to realise his value went down by his own doing. NOthing the team could have done to change that. what they did is reduce additional damage and get more then his current value. Houston is getting lots of flack now and they are the champs and one of baseballs best teams, imagine how worst this flack would have been on a rebuilding team, where fans have nothing else to talk about but an abusive player. Like it or not (i do), this is a new reality in our society , look at urban myer, one of college football great, in trouble, not for abusing, but for knowing about an abuse.
  7. We are building our team with only pedigree stars.... next Vlad and biggio....
  8. Man if we can face them 20 or more times this year, the wild card is ours
  9. As said above, this management has shown they are willing to buy talent, even while sellers at deadline. Lariano comes to mind, with the prospects comning, then lariano to teoscar trade as well with aoki coming the other way too
  10. Yea if the package is not solid, with the option, no need to trade him. BUt looking at the history of the deadline , such relievers usually can get a very good haul
  11. No i said we have blow 5-6 saves since his absence, i am not saying he would have saved them all , but i surely believe we would be much much closer to the WD had the idiot not put his ego ahead of his team and career. keep in mind , this happened mid season so it put many in bulpen out of their natural position and comfort zone.
  12. I actually see 5 or 6 blown saves, that could have been avoided, add to that 2-3 big losses when news broke out
  13. and people wanted him him DFA for a bad month
  14. What a swing !!! (when he makes contact....lol)
  15. how many wins (or more precisely additional losses) do you think Osuna absence cost us? maybe we should account also for a demoralising the team (many losses) just after the news broke out as well
  16. you know players evolve and improve. If smoak cut on his so% anyone can....question remain will he ....lol
  17. you should never mess with something that is working. He was a good bullpen piece, should have kept him as such. the ups down, changes rotation now back, messed him up good
  18. Thanks for clarification, i did not know that.
  19. why would they mention a weapon if he was not carrying one. Remember this is canada, so no weapon is a given.... I guess he was inspired by the pride of Sinaloa ....El Chapo
  20. very well said.
  21. absolutly in todays world, you are guilty before being innocent. and court of social media is the decider.
  22. MArcus is very jinx-able. You need to be careful
  23. 30 vs 12 per but in terms of contract side i think 217 price vs 36 happ
  24. And to think how mad i was we signed him and let price go..... mea culpa Shatkins
  25. Ace level performance.
