  1. I can't stand Bayless nor Stephen A; pompous, one of those reports thinks that sports fans tune into sports to listen/watch them rather than the athletes... But finally someone is linking Dyson's comments with the USA Today's study. Norris words says it all “I think it's a culture shock,'' Norris said. “This is America's game. This is America's pastime, and over the last 10-15 years we've seen a very big world influence in this game, which we as a union and as players appreciate. We're opening this game to everyone that can play. However, if you're going to come into our country and make our American dollars, you need to respect a game that has been here for over a hundred years, and I think sometimes that can be misconstrued. There are some players that have antics, that have done things over the years that we don't necessarily agree with. “I understand you want to say it's a cultural thing or an upbringing thing. But by the time you get to the big leagues, you better have a pretty good understanding of what this league is and how long it's been around.''

  3. Try this: Log into Facebook WWW.FACEBOOK.COM Log into Facebook to start sharing and connecting with your friends, family, and people you know. There are a bunch last I saw on SN's pages but this one was most unique IMO
  4. yeah I want to see him hit one out
  5. 465K views · 14K reactions | A behind the scenes look at last night's... WWW.FACEBOOK.COM A behind the scenes look at last night's celebrations #ComeTogether #Postseason I didn't see this until today. Pretty interesting. A couple of times, you can hear JB telling both AA and Price "we are not done yet"
  6. I am curious what you think those situations are and I assume we are only talking about high leverage/late innings.. There's no doubt that his stuff is electric but the fact is that he is not a swing-and-miss guy and most of the top/elite closers are; typically over a K/inning. I guess the closest comparison I can see is Melancon as they have similar K/9, BABIP,etc. But then isn't Melancon more of an exception than the norm?
  7. I think the team decides which non-roster players will travel with the team/be in the dug-out, etc. I guess guys like Kawa and Thole made the list ... as long as they don't step onto the playing field which is what got Papa B ejected ... so I heard
  8. No he wasn't Pitchers: David Price, Marcus Stroman, Marco Estrada, R.A. Dickey, Roberto Osuna, Brett Cecil, Aaron Sanchez, Mark Lowe, LaTroy Hawkins, Liam Hendriks, Aaron Loup. Catchers: Russell Martin, Dioner Navarro. Infielders: Edwin Encarnacion, Justin Smoak, Chris Colabello, Ryan Goins, Troy Tulowitzki, Josh Donaldson, Cliff Pennington. Outfielders: Jose Bautista, Kevin Pillar, Ben Revere, Dalton Pompey, Ezequiel Carrera.
  9. maybe because they do it too http://cdn.makeagif.com/media/10-15-2015/UqILio.gif
  10. Just read some stuff Dyson said about JB and Tulo - What a pompous self-righteous turd. You gave up the winning HR so keep your mouth shut
  11. when he was with the brew crew http://www1.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/Colorado+Rockies+v+Milwaukee+Brewers+3p6eAe7NJnZl.jpg
  12. Being a father myself, you never want to see any babies or anyone else get hurt. This is the one of the greatest moment in the history of the team, city and country. The last thing we want is to have some tragedy to bring a dark cloud over all of this. Having said that, I am surprised that parents let their young children/babies sit through the whole game without any sound protection. I can't imagine what the db level is for the 3 hours plus. This arguably is just as harmful
  13. Look who showed up to take a pic with him (and family) http://mlb.mlb.com/assets/images/2/3/8/154502238/cuts/Blue_Jays_fans_s4chplj1_6w75f661.JPG
  14. I am not a Gibby fan, never has. My previous posts shows it. But the man has cajones for starting Stro over Price. All the US/ESPN know-it-alls were all over him for it. Without Cecil, without Loup no lefty in the BP. I for one am in awe of your decisions ... and balls
  15. 3rd team in MLB to come back after loosing the first 2 at home. THIS IS OUR TEAM!!!!
  16. He has a right to voice out being the guy with the longest tenure as well as being the face of the franchise. As for the contract, yeah it was team-friendly but it was also player-friendly at the time of the signing. At the time, he hadn't had a long track record of success and there was risk on both sides whether that success will translate moving forward. For Jose, it was a chance to make decent money with stability and security. To his credit, he's never voiced his displeasure over his personal stuff/contract but only what's best for the team. That's pretty rare in professional sports today.
  17. Some of it will depend on who we face in the ALCS. Price has matched up better against the 'stros than the Royals ... at least for this year
  18. In terms of pulling Dickey when he did, I can see his logic the way he explained in the PG. As for putting Price in, I guess he wants the lefty match up which is fine and we only found out after the game that Loup wasn't available. But then there was # of pitches... As I said, we won and we have Wed to look forward to. Now I am just trying to get back to some sense of normalcy... at least for a day.
  19. Anybody else wishing that TBS gets the ALDS instead so that we can hear Ernie Johnson
  20. what's bad about her is that she is trying to stir s*** up... She has already concluded that the reason why Dickey was pulled early was because Gibby doesn't his knuckler. She tried that with Gibby and got no where so the first thing Dickey gets is essentially "why doesn't your manager trust your knuckler. What an idiot!!
  21. I completely agree. I hear about Dickey starting and I go "oh s***". And then he does this. Same thing with Estrada yesterday. Truly the Dangerfield of my baseball world at least... If we come back to win this thing, the biggest edge we may have is that our #3 and #4 are so much better than their's
  22. If Stro has a bad game and we loose, then I'd say we lost with the guy that gave us the best chance to win. No doubt Price is the more proven, established pitcher on the staff. But we are talking about match-ups and he's just never matched up well against the Rangers, both now as a Jay and when he was a Ray. It happens - bad matchups against teams and players. Price can win the Cy Young this year again and it's not going to change the fact that he doesn't matches up well with Rangers... Even though we hit well against Hamels, I suspect he's going to pitch us tough. But I'll take my chances with Stro. Like a lot of others, I didn't get why Gibby put Price in and I didn't get why he let him throw the number of pitches he did. But I'm not spending too much brain cells thinking about it. We won and Wed is coming. Now I can have my appetite back, be a little more productive at work and life in general and maybe actually able to get some sleep...
