Don't hate the lineup. Like Vladdy hitting second, might get him an extra AB. Love Lukes leading off. Bichette in the three-hole is nice too especially as a DH. Tells me they plan to keep him in there all night. Don't love Barger hitting ahead of Kirk but I get it, lefty-righty. I don't understand IKF over Schneider but, I imagine at some point Schneider is getting at least 1 AB. I dunno guys. Bieber needs to throw the game of his life and we need to get to Ohtani early. Gonna be a long night otherwise. -
I was furiously looking for someone to blame for that cookie down the middle. In the moment I was pissed at Schneider thinking he made the call to pitch to him. But the call was to pitch around him and give him a chance to get himself out, and Seranthony blew it. It happens I guess. Just sucks if he'd walked him, we might be up 2-1 right now. Then again he might've stolen 2nd, or who knows how things would've change.

I would be shocked if Springer was bad enough last night to pull himself from the game, and was fine 16 or whatever hours later. I would think he's out tonight at a minimum, and probably tomorrow, with a chance to have the off day before game 6 if there is one, and gut it out. Meanwhile Bichette at DH might keep his bat in the lineup the entire game which would be nice. Lukes Bichette Vladdy Kirk Varsho ...would be my batting order. The absolute key tonight is making Ohtani throw a s*** ton of pitches early, because their bullpen is roasted after last night. I mean, ours is too, but...Dodgers hitters aren't that intimidating outside Ohtani.

Welp I was up till 3 AM to have my heart broken. But, I'm trying to be positive. All of the Dodgers regulars basically played 18 innings last night, whereas a lot of ours only played 6 or 7, because when you're in a tight game in the World Series, always pull your best hitters before throwing a meatball down the middle to Ohtani. But, hopefully we're fresher. We need a game that isn't close like game 1.

Yankees are due for a loss, we're due for a win. Why on earth Varland of all people is the opener I will never know, but this is John Schneider we're talking about so we'll have to find a way to win in spite of him.

Not only is this a bad contract on it's face for the dollar amount and the length...it has a full no trade clause. Good Lord, Rogers got bent over a barrel.

I'm sure the Dodgers will pay him anything he wants. Freeman is in the twilight of his career, they'll have to replace him soon. And they'll load the deal will deferrals and whatever else they want. After this negotiation I would be trading Vlad to the highest bidder and moving on. Not only is he badly over valuing himself, he'd be hamstringing the organization for years to come, showing he doesn't give one single s*** about winning. Boo this man.

Since the season started last night, may as well get this going. I think this team could surprise once the new guys settle in. I can't stand to watch Kevin Long try to give the game away 3-4 times per night any more. Other teams know it, watch when they get near the box, they almost always try to work around Long. Don't know how this guy is still a regular.

Vlad is taking a huge risk. If he gets hurt, he's gonna wish he took the offer. If he struggles, he's gonna wish he took the offer. The stars have to align for him for a second year in a row, something he's never done before. Personally, I like him but he's annoying and childish at times. He also makes dumb decisions and gets caught sleeping (like getting picked off at 2B during the playoffs). Considering what they could probably get for him if they traded him before the season starts and giving another team exclusive negotiating rights all year, I think he could be replaced. Bichette just needs to go at this point as well. He's never wanted to be here and I can see him and Vlad going somewhere else together as free agents. May as well get what you can for them and start building a new culture. The fans are already pissed, not like there's much left to lose as far as sentiment goes.

This is on Atkins, he should have been signed before any of this Soto stuff happened. Now he's thinking he'd be the belle of the ball during free agency next year, and he's right. Atkins is gonna have to pay him crazy money now. I get not signing him long term prior to last season because he had been struggling for a couple of years and it looked like his big year was a fluke, or a product of hitting behind Semien. Now it's clearly legit and as usual, Atkins is in danger of being the bridesmaid yet again.

I love Luis Robert but the guy can't stay on the field, he's constantly injured. I can't imagine a full season of him on astro turf. If not for that I'd love if he were a Jay.

The further Bo is from this franchise, the better. If this is the case I'll change my mind on this Giminez acquisition, but right now I hate it.

Schneider and Atkins both need to go. Bo is out of here the moment he can be, have known that about him since I first heard him ever speak. Vlad will sign but whether we want to pay him long term depends on how he does this year. If this team does need to be torn down or retooled, Atkins is the last guy I want doing it. -
This is fine, we'll just get Soto instead. Oh wait, s***.
