This ends with Ohtani resigning in Anaheim or with the Dodgers and breaking our hearts. Just putting this out there now so we can wrap our heads around it and soften the blow.
I refuse to be excited until I see him wearing the hat and jersey at the press conference with Atkins and Shapiro slobbering all over him. I've had my heart broken too many times already.
Imagine the Jays actually find a way to win this series by some unbelievable KC 2015 stroke of BABIP luck. Does anyone believe they're winning the next series, or even the next game? Nope. This team is donkey s***.

I don't know if I'll be happier if they win, or relieved when it's over. This is the dumbest, most frustrating half decent team I think I've watched in some time.
Brett Lawrie, Alex Rios, Antony Gose, Devon Travis, Travis Snider, Kevin Cash, JP Arencibia, Kyle Drabek, Dustin McGowan, Brandon Morrow,Drew Hutchison, Erik Hinske, to name a few this century. I'm forgetting a bunch as well.
Bichette sure thinks highly of himself. Like I've been saying, guy is walking the second he can. Guy sucked for 90% of the season, has a good September and now thinks he's the Franchise again. I've seen this movie too many times, I know how it ends. Trade this fool while his name still has value and we'd be way better off.
Still need an SP. I understand waiting for Tiedemann but there's no guarantees there and if there's one injury to our rotation, which there will be eventually, we're right back where we were.
I spent years in recruiting and I'm pretty good at reading people. I said Stroman was the biggest douche the Jays have ever drafted before anyone saw him in the big leagues and was ripped mercilessly for it. JP Arencibia was another, and Alex Rios. Bo isn't as bad as those guys but he's the type of guy that will dig in his heels and do something because someone asked him not to, or not do something because someone asked him to do it (ie he won't cut his damn hair because some coach told him to cut it when he was younger, he won't move to second base even though he's clearly much better suited there). There's zero chance this guy is signing for anything less than Correa and something about him just gives him away, I can't put my finger on it but you can just tell he wants to be somewhere else. I think that would be far more obvious if he wasn't playing with guys he came up with like Vlad and Cavan, but I bet we're gonna see some fireworks with him this year, between him and Mattingly or even Schneider.
I hope I'm wrong but like I said, pretty good at reading people and I'm sure I'll get ripped for this opinion the same way I was for Stroman et al, but time will tell.
As a 4/5 starter this is a great signing that will stabilize the rotation. Expecting him to be a number 3 might be a stretch so it would be really nice to get a big dick starter like Rodon to trot out there in game 3 in a playoff series but, they can always find someone at the deadline if Atkins decides to skip his nap that day next year.
Have to hope Berrios gets his act together and that solves a major problem for this team.
