  1. f*** everyone except the Brewers the Tigers and Arizona if they make it. I would never root for a division rival and I would never root for anything attached to New York or Los Angeles. I would root for the Padres except I can't stand some of their players. I'm so bored of the Braves.
  2. I wouldn't be bothered by seeing none of our bullpen back, except Yarbrough.
  3. Kirky is surprising with his overall defensive execution, credit where it's due. He's a valuable catcher. Maybe that's part of why he hadn't been hitting as well, he's been focusing on the defensive side of things. It would be nice if he can become more consistent on the offensive end. He has it in him and could be a top 2 or 3 catcher in the league.
  4. Imagine Ohtani on steroids with juiced baseballs.
  5. He's overpaid while he's not pitching relative to the market. It's also only year one. I always felt it would be a terrible investment overall but would be a hell of a lot of fun for a few years at least.
  6. Oh relax. I marvel at it, but I'm a Jays fan first and a baseball fan a distant second. I spent half an hour chatting with some buddies about the greatness of the game he had. But I don't know the man and I don't care about the team, so I won't be doing backflips for either.
  7. Actually, with the value he would have added we're probably in a playoff race especially since we're not selling at the deadline. Be that as it may, it's not rocket science to understand why he would pick the Dodgers over the Blue Jays. That doesn't make me feel any better.
  8. This all just adds to the pain. Hopefully he's a dud for the second part of that contract.
  9. Ryan Yarbrough has to be the greatest pitcher of all time. Every time I've seen him in my life whether against us or for us he's the most unhittable man I've ever seen. I don't know what his advanced numbers are and I don't really give a f***. I want this guy around until his arm falls off. Which probably won't be anytime soon because he throws freaking 87 mph.
  10. Happy Bowden Francis day!
  11. Was going to start the thread but some people probably have me blocked so I didn't bother. We moved up the draft lottery board. So that's something.
  12. This made me snort in public.
  13. Dive for the bag with the glove Spencer.
  14. Am I the only one seeing an ungodly number of conservative ads during this game?
  15. Even if it all falls to s***, we'll never forget the Bowden Francis run of 2024. Like Lonny Bohonos in '99 for Leafs fans. The real ones will always remember.
  16. It's surreal what's happening with Francis. Surely there's a chunk of luck in there, especially today, but still very encouraging. Hopefully these no-hit bids don't make his arm fall off before the end of September. I might give him 10 days rest. Also, f*** Green.
  17. The stuff isn't even as good as before. The laws of physics have ceased to matter. I don't understand anything anymore, and I don't need to understand.
  18. He just needs to get on the stuff that LeBron is on.
  19. Whatever. Does it really matter?
  20. I was for the Green contract, I was wrong.
  21. About that Horwitz second base experiment...
  22. Sped up his bat with fastballs and beat him with fastballs and then gave him a cookie for some reason. Terrible sequence in my opinion.
  23. I can absolutely live with him anywhere from 6-9 in the order, if he's any higher to start next season it's a bad sign for the offensive construction of this team.
  24. I don't think either have shown enough yet to be completely sold, I've always liked Horwitz though, he at least deserves an inside track and real opportunity at this point. As for Wagner, I wouldn't pencil him into next year's plans, but I make sure to keep a path open for him to be in the plans if he continues to show out.
  25. None of that changes the fact that he's a f***ing idiot for taking a banned substance. I have little hope for people that are genuinely stupid.
