If I may say something about the recent slide before this ugly win. I do think this team was running on fumes a little bit. What was it 14 games in 13 days? During a heatwave and playing quite a few day games with a roster that's been thin, especially lately. I think they hit a bit of a wall. I don't want to make excuses, this is a team that still has some faults and they're not as good as that red hot team that was barely losing games that we've seen in the last few weeks but I don't think this was a fair representation of them either. -
Great philosophers and great scientists go hand in hand. There's a great historical relationship between the two fields. Theoretical physicists require the ability to see in abstract ways with the "mind's eye", much like great philosophers. But I'm probably getting way too deep for a Blue Jays message board.

I do worry a bit about Barger. Going to end up being a long season for him, lots of stressful at bats in the middle of a pennant drive at the major league level. Mental exhaustion as much as physical exhaustion could be an issue for him down the stretch.

I really didn't want to get involved in this mess but, I just want to say Berrios is what he is. It is what he's been for the last several years. Up and down not just between games but even within games.

An interesting decision by the front office to make with this team. Does Shapiro do the thing that he criticized AA for doing, strip our minor leagues bare in order to go all in with the major league roster. If he doesn't, how good is this roster really without that help?

The one angle from behind was pretty clear in my opinion. He clearly hit his arm before he was at the plate. I thought so.

I don't mind Clement running there. But that swing by Vlad was a big part of my problem with him. That's a two strike swing that you should never take when you have strikes to spare. I'd rather he take a mighty swing over the top there.

Regardless of what happens in this game or what has happened in this series, the rotation situation is the same as it has been going on 3 years. We need a front line starter, ideally 2, which is why I still think Manoah is potentially important if he could ever find it again.
