Franchise player up first in the ninth.
Is there anybody on this board that's excited for it?
Does anyone actually think he'll do anything?
No, me neither.
Every team that faces us in the postseason should find the softest tossing pitchers they have in their organization to start against us.
Guys like Fried, Skubal, Crochet, just plays right into our hands.
I don't think they celebrate the playoff spot too much, they celebrate the East for sure. It would be kind of lame to pop champagne on a playoff spot when the Eastern clinch is just around the corner.
If they were scratching and clawing for a playoff spot and made the wild card on the final weekend of the season or something like that, that would justify the champagne celebration. Cleveland should pop champagne if they make the postseason. But given the Jays' situation it should only be on the divisional clinch.
Berrios cannot be on the postseason roster.
I'm sorry but we've seen enough. He doesn't have put away stuff at this point. His feelings will have to deal with it.
Top teams are going to eat him alive.
He's not even a viable long guy, I'd rather have Lauer, especially as a lefty.
I've said before I'm not particularly impressed by them. They don't strike me as a great team. They may have the best pitcher in baseball, they have some power. They have some decent arms. But I'm just not in love with that team.
Okay man relax, put the gun down.
He still hits for average he's still capable of putting up nice streaks and hot months.
I'm not calling him Russ Adams or anything.
But over the course of a season he could and should be even better. Especially in the power department.
Whatever man that's fine if you're okay with it, it's okay for others not to be okay with a guy who has 40 plus home run potential hitting 23. He needs to hit with more power.
