  1. I'd love to see Judge misplay a ball that allows us to walk off with the win and have him curl up in a ball crying in right field while sucking his thumb as he suffers a total breakdown.
  2. I would say this is the Yankees A lineup. It's begging to be matched up with left-handed relievers. If we can keep the game in a good spot through the first four or five innings, each game, I think we're in decent shape.
  3. I have no problem with Lukes being in the lineup just lower. I'll take the loss on defense at second base with Schneider over Clement. I just think we're going to need to score runs and Schneider gives us a much better chance to do it.
  4. .915 OPS vs .734 OPS. Schneider is significantly better against RHP. Their numbers are actually much tighter against lefties.
  5. I have Schneider batting second because of his ability to draw walks. Considering Gil is on the hill especially.
  6. Don't love Barger in the cleanup spot right now. I know he homered in the last game of the season but he's looked like hot garbage for a long time now. I would have gone with the vet in Santander. Also prefer Schneider over Clement despite the defensive advantage of Clement. I just don't like Clement against right-handers, especially one that tends to be wild and we need as much power as we can muster.
  7. Wow, they basically ended up doing everything the way I thought they would, Trey game 2, Bieber game 3 and bullpen game 4. Love the balls they've shown.
  8. People are very romantic about the players that play for their team. Reality is often not as romantic but we just don't hear about it often.
  9. Don't bother. The days of tough athletes fighting the pain of injury to play for the name on the front of the jersey is almost gone. Certainly not the big name players. Fans like their athletes to be soft as cotton balls these days.
  10. Bo can't field even when he could field. He can barely run even when he could run. Hit the ball 4 times a game and hop to first.
  11. No free agency in little league🤑
  12. I like that you're finally starting to get it.
  13. I really like what they've done here, I like the balls that they've shown to do what they have to do to maximize their odds to win this series and not worry about people's feelings.
  14. Bo, you'd better be moving around in a wheelchair 😠
  15. I understand the idea of all hands on deck but I think it's actually reckless to take a guy coming off of surgery and to start doing stuff like that with him. I don't think they're going to go there with him no matter what. Like it would have to be a desperate situation where you're deep into extra innings and there's nobody left.
  16. They have 10 bullpen arms. I don't think they would pitch Bieber on short rest anyway because I don't think they will do that with him coming off surgery. I don't think that's going to be an option this postseason for him at all. Nor do I have any reason to think that would be a better option than our bullpen arms anyhow.
  17. Well, no Bo. That's not a shocker, no Bassitt is somewhat. Bruihl over Bassitt confirms what I've been thinking, bullpen day is a better chance to win than Bassitt and certainly Scherzer.
  18. What makes you think that by starting Yesavage that you aren't planning to win? As far as him not getting rattled, he's human. He struggled every time he moved up a level in his first game including even his first inning in the majors. I don't mind him in game 2 at all.
  19. Yeah there's always people around to defend him when he stinks in a big game. That game against Seattle, I think they needed him to pitch into the 7th inning, he wasn't bad but they needed more and he wasn't great in San Francisco either. Say what you want about the Boston and Tampa games, I'm not quite buying it though. But he'll get his chance tomorrow. Game 1 at home, a full five days of rest. There will be no excuses. Put up or shut up.
  20. I don't think this means he can't DH. You can be a "regular" while DH'ing. It would slaughter your OF defense if Santander is also playing but it can be done.
  21. The more I think about it the more I think Yesavage in game 2 makes the most sense. Or maybe Yesavage behind an opener.
  22. It's not Bellinger's wheels that worry me about him.
  23. Gil tends to minimize the damage. Only gave up more than 2 runs in two of 11 starts. 1 of his last 10. Warren probably stands a better chance of being great, but I think they feel they will score runs against Toronto so they just want to minimize the damage against. That Warren game where he got smoked probably looms although I think they thought he may have been tipping pitches in that one.
  24. Big game Gausman though. It's a problem.
