Yeah, no doubt, he also had a lot less money to work with, he probably wasn't as bad at GM as he's remembered as but I did not enjoy his era of baseball.

It's always possible, any baseball game has a potential for weirdness, but it would really be against all odds. Texas does have a great offense though so if they can somehow get Castile off his game, maybe they can just outslug the Mariners.

If only we had another pitcher instead of Richards to throw out there. Maybe if we had another stud pitcher we could have pushed back our leverage guys another inning. I've been told we have "enough" pitching though, thank goodness we're not overloading all this goodness with more greatness. -

Well it's time to panic from the standpoint of perhaps having to use Gausman, It's better than a 50/50 chance given Castillo going against that crappy bullpen. That also completely changes what we can do in the postseason if we get there. So it's kind of panicky mode.

Have you seen the pitching matchups? I mean it's not impossible but it's highly unlikely Texas wins either game. Seattle is the heavy favourite in both. Texas has run out of pitchers

When you can't establish a competitive fastball all they have to do is sit on your change-up. He wasn't even close with those heaters.

Consider the pitchers we've been hitting versus the ones we couldn't hit. Don't get sucked in.

Was hoping to get rid of Varsho's bat this inning.

Two times through the order might be the max. 4 innings, maybe 5 if somehow the next inning goes well.

We are dangerously close to having to use Kevin Gausman in a potential must win scenario. Ryu is where our hopes lie now. I really don't see Texas winning either one of their final two games, it would be a minor miracle considering the great pitching Seattle is about the throw at them and the who the f*** knows pitching Texas is going to respond with. Verlander goes tomorrow so Houston probably gets at least one of the last two.

Just looked at the pitching matchups for the next couple of days, what the hell are the Rangers going to do? Castillo and Kirby going for the Mariners, the only starter I see listed on ESPN is Gray on the final game against Kirby, but he's on the IL. Who do they have left? They might actually blow this.

Rangers may just simply run out of pitching. They may end up going out if they don't figure something out.

We got a defensive specialist with an average arm, noodle bat, not speedy but an outstanding baserunner and high baseball IQ on a team full of idiots. It is what it is, can't do anything about it now. No point thinking about it anymore.
