  1. Don't ever let the idiots tell you batting average doesn't matter. Some of the biggest dumbasses on Earth.
  2. Well there's never one reason, but I'm absolutely convinced that if he's healthy we win that series. So many critical moments needed him and we didn't have him against their lefties. I sure as hell would have loved to have seen the universe where he was healthy. Outside of the '93 team, that was the best Blue Jays team I'd ever seen put together. 2021 was pretty close, but the FO f***ing blew it with a s***** bullpen for far too long.
  3. Well this game sort of check the boxes of what the 2025 Blue Jays are expected to be: Competitive starting pitching: ✅ Struggle with runners in scoring position: ✅ Ass middle relief with two really good guys at the end of the bullpen: ✅ Not even mad. Just numb.
  4. As a '80s man, I appreciate that we have a guy in the bullpen that I can call The Hoff
  5. Historically they both stink also. It would also help if we had a better offense but we don't. If he's not good enough to be a lefty in situations where you need a lefty he shouldn't be in the bullpen at all.
  6. It's early in the season, I've said it before but you can't run away from your bullpen, if they're not good enough go get better players. You have a lefty in the bullpen he came into the right situation unfortunately he blows lol
  7. It's not like he's got a lot of good options out there. Green stinks, Little stinks, we got a lot of stink in there. Front office is responsible for this bullpen.
  8. Yeah I'll take my chances with the 2015 team thanks. I get how probability works, I also get you're trying to maximize probabilities in sports because that's the only thing you can do. And we lost that series because Brett Cecil was hurt. In fact we probably lost the world series because of it.
  9. Exactly! That's what the core of a dangerous team looks like. That's when we were actual contenders.
  10. You call that a core? One occasional great hitter and a couple of average to below average hitters is a core? That's f***ing depressing and nauseating.
  11. There isn't much power outside the top 3. It's among the several holes on this team. We knew this going into the season. Short of a couple of big surprises it's not going to change.
  12. You have a bullpen, you have to use it. Can't run away from a terrible bullpen from April. If the bullpen isn't good enough that's on the GM to fix. If anything, you stick it to the GM by using his guys.
  13. This team is not built for comebacks. Let's hope we can steal one of the next two. Going to go watch some curling.
  14. Trash middle relief is trash. Let's not act like we're surprised.
  15. I hate off days in baseball. I know they're necessary but it drives me nuts during the season.
  16. Washington is not expected to be a very good team but one can never downplay a sweep, especially since I think most of us were concerned about the pitching matchup going into today's game. Vladdy is still killing too many worms, and certainly there are concerns in a couple of areas pitching wise. All in all though a solid start to the season considering the lack of power. Starts to get real in the next couple of weeks. We'll find out a few things about this team.
  17. Well this is certainly a less than ideal matchup.
  18. Hasn't it been Berrios 3 of the last 4 seasons? I'm sensing a trend.
