Which is almost certainly not true. AA had a high-ceiling draft philosophy where he targeted mostly raw high school arms (Sanchez, Norris, Syndergaard, Nicolino) mixed with some high-upside college arms (Hoffman, Stroman).
Longerhagen might have been referring to Ricciardi's preference for college arms, which was certainly true, or he just misspoke.
