How on earth is Dylan Bundy still #25?
Also - Bregman and Correa up the middle in Houston is going to be pretty sick...errr, I guess one shifts to 3rd with Altuve sticking at 2nd? Damn that's a nice problem to have.
I think you could also compare him to Stroman....and he worked out OK. Harris was expected to go top 15 and fell into the Jays lap. Same thing happened with Stro. To be honest, if Giolito fell one more pick in that draft - I suspect the Jays would have taken him and then DJ Davis at pick 21 and Stro would be wearing another jersey right now...
True - but there were also a lot of people who wanted him to catch Martin because that meant he wouldn't "sit" during a playoff game...You let him catch the traditional pitchers where he adds a ton of extra value (which is negated when catching Dickey).
Just more or does the guy doing the interview look like he's got a balding Mohawk or something odd going on? Perhaps just massive power alleys, which may be somewhat fitting for a baseball reporter.
I'd just bat Pompey 9th, JD 1st and then I'd start the game off by telling myself that JD is going to be coming up with nobody out 100% of the time, whereas with anyone else up, 67.5% of the time there's already 1 out!
It appears Jackson is heading towards a contract well below market value (after seeing Span get 3 years $10+ AAV). Signing him would be a shrewd, prudent move by Shatkins with would cement my opinion that these guys are a great addition to the organization.
116 wRC+ vs. LHP last year (111 in 2014).
I'm not sure there's any pitchers left who would provide the value Jackson could for this team. My concern is he's probably looking for a fulltime gig to try and rebuild his value (could be looking for a show me 1 year deal) and there could be better situations out there for that.
Any guess one what he'll cost? 1 yr $5M? Man - 2 yr $7-$8M would be sweet.
I feel bad for the players who actually work their tail off all season, add muscle and actually come into the spring training in the best shape of their life...
Literally no one believes them...
Oh but aren't we all enjoying the cheaper gas? The people who were complaining the price of gas was too expensive are now complaining our dollar is too low...
To be fair - he said he gained 25 lbs, which certainly could be a fact. Competitive walks remains atop the list of stupid things he's said (well above all else really).
