Of course Buck would us this opportunity to complain about the new rules at home plate....cuz ole skool rule IMO the removal of the take out slide at 2nd and eliminating catchers blocking the plate have been excellent changes to the game. -
He passes the eye test for me. Nice smooth, simple delivery (although it looks like he's a little inconsistent with his landing foot). Colour me intrigued.

Yeah I know - he's likely nothing, but it was an article about a BJ prospect, so I figured I'd post it. 187 wRC+ right now with a 30+ BB% rate is cool for now. Maybe he revamps his swing at some point to generate some power (ala Zobrist). Personally I love batters with control of the strike zone.

How on earth the Iron Pigs hat (a hat with just a strip of bacon on it) finishes 29th is beyond me. Lugnuts finished 44th.

I assume that was his average before last nights game? He's at .259/.344/.481 in May now with a .825 OPS, 124 wRC+ Don't look now boys, but he might be our less flamboyant version of Javy Baez!

Like this? I don't know man - that Taco hat is pretty sweet. As is the Yard Goats hat (and name). http://i.imgur.com/NT04Hrj.jpg I don't mind the Lugnuts logo - it's the red/black combo that gets me. I can't wear that.
