  1. is it still too late to vote?
  2. Can anyone think of the last time the offseason has been this slow? Although in the same breath - trading Stanton and signing Ohtani were both massive moves... Interesting to see the Jays take the patient approach this year after "jumping" the market the previous years with Happ and Morales.
  3. Hard to argue with that logic.
  4. I'd love to see if McGuire can carry over the success he had with the bat last season. No way I want him rotting on our bench to start the season. As was pointed out, if Martin goes down, call up Jansen or McGuire to start.
  5. In 2015 he was better than Bumgarner has ever been (playoffs excluded). Last year was a bit of a down season (matched Bumgarner's 2012 season). Take all his other season and project them to Bumgarner's innings pitched and he's just as good. He just hasn't been able to stay healthy consistently.
  6. I don't know man. He's been pretty damn good when healthy. I would bet his WAR/inning is right up there. He just hasn't been able to stay healthy. Christ that's a good, young, deep rotation now. The Yanks look unstoppable - especially if Torres steps right in and produces. I mean we've said that before (usually about Washington), but hot damn, the next 3-5 years doesn't look promising for the Jays.
  7. Pittsburgh planning for when McCutchen leaves (Marte, Frazier, Meadows).
  8. Good point - that's probably it.
  9. Agreed. I expect Logan Morrison will get a similar deal too. I'd much rather hope that the breakouts by Alonso and Morrison are real than go back to the incredibly average Mitch Moreland.
  10. Ironic since he's now a good defender and an awful hitter.
  11. Don't feed the troll please.
  12. P.Tucker to the Braves
  13. Kiermaier too...
  14. I'm kind of sad to see Longoria go. It's been great watching him in the AL East all these years. His 2 Hrs, including a walk off to win the 2011 wild card was awesome. My parents have a spot in Port Charlotte too (Rays STing home) and we always catch a Rays game when we visit. I have a couple Longo autographs and he's always really nice to the fans. I wear a knock off Longoria jersey to the games. He will be missed.
  15. That is one douchy t-shirt Tim.
  16. Sorry if this was already posted, but Cole Hamels and his wife have donated their $9.75M mansion in Missouri to a Special Needs Camp. That's pretty f***ing awesome.
  17. Is he pretty like Conner Greene too? IMO, the Phillies have too many good positional players to target Sixto (cool name though).
  18. What's with all the hype surrounding Sixto Sanchez? (nm - I found it. He throws 101) I don't even buy the hype on Reyes. 4.5 BB/9 (+/-) in every level. Low GB%. Luke Weaver is the guy you want (if you have trade him to the Cards). Personally - if we are moving Stro and JD, I'd rather get positional players back. Moniak, JP Crawford, Kingery. Cards don't have the positional players we should target (IMO). Could take a flyer on Delvin Perez I guess.
  19. You guys think Crawford is going to hit? Good patience at the plate. Curious to see how he develops....although he stiffed my 7 yr old out of an autograph this past spring so f*** him a little bit.
  20. There's nothing I hate more than naming rights on stadiums and arenas.
  21. What's your strategy when the Marlins hang up the phone after you offer them Alford, SRF + garbage for Yelich?
  22. Wat? You need to hit the google machine.
  23. Wow - I didn't see that happening. Maybe the Padres showed Hosmer they mean business by trading for Freddy Galvis!
  24. That's the best quality we can get in 2017? I love how most men are trending towards less fabric. Modern, slim and extra slim fits. Gibby elects the parachute model. Zero f***s.
  25. Who's now Shart.
