    DSJ passes the eye test (at the plate) for me. I'd like to see him get some playing time down the stretch to see if he could serve as the 4th OF next year. We probably need a trade though to see that happen.

    I agree with this. A good GM should be willing to assess a trade based on the current situation (instead of trying to save face from a previous move). Soler would be a nice lottery ticket for the Jays to get.

    That's probably the only reason we're able to get ANYTHING for him at this point. Put him in a playoff race and/or the bullpen and there's real potential that he'll put together a couple amazing months for you.

    It's hard being a 3rd base coach these days because players don't take OF practice anymore so you don't get to see who throws the best. Just ask Buck. He'll tell you.

    Players need to realise the umps are wrong 10-15% of the time overall...ehich means they are probably wrong about 30% of the time on close pitches. They should expect missed calls. Some will help them, others will hurt. That said. Playing baseball my whole life - it's incredibly hard to restrain yourself in the heat of the moment. That's life.

    Pitch trax said the slider was right on the corner when Gibby got tossed. You also have no idea if Gibby even said anything. Often guys yell from the bench and the manager gets run for it

    Does David Dahl still cost us a s*** ton in a trade with the Rockies? I'd love to see us add him. To be honest, Smoak might be a good fit for them?

    I'm off to Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincy next week for a guys baseball trip. I was wondering if anyone on here has any recommendations on where to (and where not to) sit at any of those stadiums. Also, if anyone has any recommendations on places to go or places to eat on any of those Cities - that would be the tits.
