  1. Same. Shatkins - it's time to fill up our pen with low cost, low commitment veteran options...
  2. I have to think the Yanks are prepared to open the season with Miguel Andujar and Gleyber Torres at 3rd and 2nd. I suspect they would have been open to a short term filler like Todd Frasier, but I can't imagine they'd ever sign Moose to a multi year deal.
  3. Phil Coke is making a comeback as a knuckleballer. Don't see many lefties tossing the ole knuckle in there.
  4. It should be. The bat isn't anything special, but the overall package is still very valuable. A good bet to post 5 WAR over the 2 years. Morales. f***
  5. This is true. The biggest flag was he had to repeat AAA as a 24 year old before anyone noticed him. He didn't hit like a good prospect in AA or AAA as a 22 or 23 year old unless counting stats are your thing.
  6. You mean the guy who's better than Yadi but never got any recognition?
  7. FG really decided to project "final" positions for players eh? Vlad - 1st Bo - 2nd Tatis Jr. - 3rd Barreto - CF Royce Lewis - CF C.Kieboom - 3rd Willie Calhoon - DH
  8. It must be in comparison to the 8.14 ERA he posted in the NL last year.
  9. I remember when King was relevant too. Miss you King
  10. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/i-should-explain-this-wilmer-font-thing/ Did we let one get away?
  11. How do we downvote posts?
  12. f*** Matt Bush. He's a massive POS. Never acknowledge him again.
  13. Dem shortstops bring risk too. Ask Matt Bush and Tim Beckham (and possibly Dansby Swanson)
  14. He was worth 1.4 WAR in 2016 despite a good wRC+ of 122. 2 years later, as a DH, his upside might be 1 WAR. We already have a log jam and there's probably a better chance that Pearce bounces back than there is that Jose does. Flexibility at DH for Pearce, Grandy + a rotation of our regulars would be amazing. There's no way we'd block that to "see" if Jose could give use 1 WAR.
  15. Why in the f*** would we dump an old, slow, a one dimensional, below average hitter and replace him with an old, slow, a one dimensional, below average hitter?
  16. http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/rays/2018/01/30/rays-abruptly-sever-ties-with-team-physician-michael-reilly/ Apparently she was his babysitter before being hired to work at his practice. Que the porn music.
  17. I'm not marketing expert, but FanRag has got to be one of the worst names you could choose.
  18. It's it entirely plausible that someone could be against the removal of chief wahoo without being racist? I'd consider un-following him simply because that's a really stupid statement (not that I use twitter)
  19. How will this effect WAR/$ projections? I suspect teams have curves they use to evaluate player value. I wonder if any predicted this apparent downturn in FA value.
  20. Article on Brandon Nimmo - simply because I once was suggesting we should trade for him (which I still think is a good idea, although we have a lot of OF options now). https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/what-could-brandon-nimmo-become/
  21. Athletics acquired LHP Ryan Buchter, 1B/OF Brandon Moss and cash from the Royals for RHPs Jesse Hahn and Heath Fillmyer. Why would the A's give up Hahn for that s***? He was worth 1.3 WAR in 69 innings last year.
  22. So they are going to keep the "Indians" name and just use the "C" logo now?
