  1. I hate the red uni's. I thought I hear the players weekend same from the PA - like these excessively rich players need more freedom in their jobs or some s***. Maybe that's why I have a distaste for it (outside of the corny/cringiness of bad nicknames and ugly jerseys).

  3. Why stop with jersey's - They should be allowed to wear personalized hats on the field too. Martin can wear a toque, Stro can wear one of his small man syndrome hats, Pillar can wear a hipster hat, Smoak can wear a lumberjack hat, Biagini can wear a joker hat - it will be EPIC!!! I will feel like I know the Jays players better and that will make me like baseball better. Young people hate rules and tradition, so they will probably start following the game immediately.
  4. Putting nicknames on the back of an ugly jersey isn't fun - nor does it show any personality. I'm supposed to be impressed by their ability to come up with unique nicknames? That appeals to people? People are stupid. Full disclosure that I've done zero research on this, but didn't this come as a request from the PA?
  5. You so should have listed those prospects only by their initials...
  6. I LOATHE Buck and Tabby. LOATHE (grinch voice). But personally, I like broadcasters who are slightly on the homer side. I like the home run calls and the extra excitement they bring when the Jays do something well. That's it though. Nothing else. Nothing.
  7. This player's weekend thing is really dumb IMO.
  8. I'm also out of touch and thankful for Term for asking the question. It felt like Grade 6 all over again when my introverted personality prevented me from raising my hand to ask for clarification.

  10. Does anyone know if Pittsburgh will play in Toronto NEXT year? My son really wants to see the pirates but I don't think we'll be able to make it this weekend. Is there a pattern or anything with interleague play to give me an idea? Thanks.
  11. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/how-technology-led-to-change-with-josh-donaldson/ average article. Haven't seen it posted yet, so here ya go.
  12. At this point, Seager probably has a better shot at MVP than Turner. Turner has been spectacular, don't get me wrong, but he won't have the counting stats needed to contend. It is nice to see Puig right the ship. No idea what's wrong his base running this year though.
  13. Don't feed the troll please. Thank you.
  14. He has to be one of the worst 1st overall picks in recent memory.
  15. It is truly amazing that anyone buys tickets to their games. Perhaps this is God's way of evening out the fact they live in probably the best city, with the best weather in the US. Bastards can't have it all.
  16. How come nobody PM's me? f*** you guys.
  17. Does Willie Calhoun play in an extreme hitters park? How does a guy striking out only 11% of the time, with an ISO of .289, SLG% of .574 only post a wRC+ of 131?
  18. Flip those 2. Alford in LF and Hernandez in RF.
  19. It's Willy Garcia - not Avisail right?
  20. I love this idea. Low risk.
  21. 1. You mentioned moving Steve Pearce. He'll be with the Jays under contract next year too. If they couldn't get a lot at the deadline for him, there's no reason to move him now. Happ's basically in the same situation. 2. Bautista has a no trade clause. You can wish him gone all you want, but if he doesn't want to move, you can't trade him. 3. Smoak is under contract in 2018 (for peanuts) and 2019 under a club option. Unless you're getting a big return, there's no urgency to deal him now. 4. Unlikely anyone even called about Barney. Estrada could have been moved. No doubt....but we don't know the whole story here. Maybe the FO has spoken to him about resigning next year and he expressed a concern about uprooting himself and his family for the remainder of the year. Maybe the offers for him were so underwhelming it made no sense to upset him. This isn't anything to get upset with (given what we expect the return would have been). This FO isn't going to make rash decisions in hast man. You should be happy about that.
  22. yeah, um...the prospects we got today aren't going to help get us Sonny Gray. We'd be looking at giving up Alford + SRF + Zeuch + for Gray I'd imagine.
  23. They both kinda do via stat-scouting. Taylor just turned 19 (20 days ago) and has a wRC+ of 133 in low A ball as a 2nd baseman. That's a good lottery ticket in my books!
  24. In 2018 yes it would be. We're building for the future man (which probably shouldn't include Pillar).
  25. I think there's a chance that all 3 are on the team next year - along with Pillar in CF of course. DSJ playing mainly as a 4th OFer, but also in a semi platoon role. This trade makes me happy. A very creative way to get a solid lottery ticket in a much needed position.
