    source on these studies? I find it hard to believe that with today's knowledge and technology, companies would go to all this trouble to find a way to inject players with steroids and mask them to avoid detection when all along it wasn't the best way to enhance performance.

    I realise it's a very SSS, but what's up with Reese McGuire? wRC+ of 143 over 114 PA's. BABIP is only 0.291. BB%/K% are both on par with his career numbers, but his ISO is .245 (after being about 0.070 for his career). Has anyone caught any stories on changes he's made? or is this just a hot streak.

    I really feel like I know Morales better now that I know his nickname is Mo Mo. He's f***ing s*** At least there's a real baseball game on at 10 tonight.

    What difference is that going to make? We'd be 4 games under .500 with 7 teams ahead of us.

    Unfortunately, it basically was at the 15 game mark. The boys fought hard against the odds, but this was somewhat inevitable unfortunately. Man I remember trying to explain the merits of adding Morales, Pearce, etc. this offseason and how these smart moves would help offset the loss of EE, Cecil, etc. I remember thinking there was a good chance JB would come back with a chip on his shoulder and tear the league a new one. There was also information to suggest Tulo was unlucky last year and his wRC+ should have been closer to 120, which gave me hope. Holy s*** did that ever all blow up quickly. Now I have to go Page 2 of the Fangraphs page to even see how s***** Morales and Goins are. f*** sakes. Shatkins has some serious work to do.

    Tatis Jr. isn't far behind at 154 wRC+ in 518 PA's + 29 SB's as a shortstop. Unreal.

    Always loved Longoria and since my parents live in Port Charlotte for the winter (ST home for the Rays) I've been going to Rays spring training games for a decade now. I've gotten his autograph a few times and have always secretly rooted for him. I hope he ages gracefully (ala Beltre) and makes the HOF.

    I was out last night and missed this no-hit bid. I thought I'd share this story....something I'd never heard until an old guy at our baseball game was telling me about it last week. http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2015/05/26/126504134/harvey-haddix-threw-12-perfect-innings-and-lost Pretty incredible - especially since the Braves were stealing his signs all game long. Another interesting part of the story is that the Braves pitcher, Lew Burdette threw all 13 innings that night to get the win. Another interesting story I found was this one "On July 2, 1963, Juan Marichal pitched a 16-inning shutout against the Milwaukee Braves, outdueling Warren Spahn, who pitched 151/3 scoreless innings before Willie Mays won it 1-0 with a home run. Marichal threw 227 pitches; Spahn threw 201. Spahn was 42 years old, Marichal was 25"

    Jason Kendell was more valuable as a catcher than Yadi Molina's been. I think we'd all be ecstatic if Jansen was 1/2 the catcher Kendell was.

    I wasn't on all weekend, but crept in this morning to see what the carnage looked like after the Jays blew it yesterday. Didn't see any GTD and had no idea what was going on. Guess the board melted down as bad as Osuna.

    My bad. I just saw the 4 year contract on fangraphs that expires this year. I'd love to know what the cost is to acquire him. I agree that he wouldn't come cheap.
