This is true. The biggest flag was he had to repeat AAA as a 24 year old before anyone noticed him. He didn't hit like a good prospect in AA or AAA as a 22 or 23 year old unless counting stats are your thing.
He was worth 1.4 WAR in 2016 despite a good wRC+ of 122. 2 years later, as a DH, his upside might be 1 WAR. We already have a log jam and there's probably a better chance that Pearce bounces back than there is that Jose does. Flexibility at DH for Pearce, Grandy + a rotation of our regulars would be amazing. There's no way we'd block that to "see" if Jose could give use 1 WAR.
Why in the f*** would we dump an old, slow, a one dimensional, below average hitter and replace him with an old, slow, a one dimensional, below average hitter?

Apparently she was his babysitter before being hired to work at his practice. Que the porn music.
It's it entirely plausible that someone could be against the removal of chief wahoo without being racist?
I'd consider un-following him simply because that's a really stupid statement (not that I use twitter)
How will this effect WAR/$ projections? I suspect teams have curves they use to evaluate player value. I wonder if any predicted this apparent downturn in FA value.
Article on Brandon Nimmo - simply because I once was suggesting we should trade for him (which I still think is a good idea, although we have a lot of OF options now).

Athletics acquired LHP Ryan Buchter, 1B/OF Brandon Moss and cash from the Royals for RHPs Jesse Hahn and Heath Fillmyer.
Why would the A's give up Hahn for that s***? He was worth 1.3 WAR in 69 innings last year.
