  1. Man - if "We're the Millers" is on TV, I have a hard time not watching it. Dat Jennifer Aniston strip scene...
  2. Do you want us to sacrifice the future or accelerate our win curve to make the playoffs in 2018?
  3. You mean I can still pay money to go sit amongst the frat boys who'll be piss drunk and won't watch a lick of the game? You're saying I still have the opportunity to sit beside some ******* who'll be loudly going on about how stupid Shaktins is for releasing Goins, not trading for Stanton (ya know, because the package they gave up wasn't that good) and for being too cheap to sign JD Martinez to a 7 year, $225M deal because "it's not his money" and this Grichuk guy they got is s***...before he proceeds to get up 12 times during the game to get more beer + piss because he's too impatient to wait for the beer guy to come around. Sounds amazing. The ONLY reason I'd go to opening day is to see the Doc tribute live. But f***, crying in public beside that ******* would be the worst. I'll cry on my couch thank you very much. (I was going to make a comment on how the ******* would complain we didn't sign Ohtani, but let's be honest, he has no idea who that is).
  4. Didn't AA have a policy to never settle in arbitration?
  5. Any system ranking Carson Kelly 2nd overall should be removed from the rankings. Just sayin'
  6. Don't you dare bring Sean Burroughs into this.
  7. F that. Aim higher. You want someone who has the upside to net you something of value at the trade deadline. You're looking for someone who's good, but always hurt. You pray they hold together for the year. Jaime Garcia might fit the mold.
  8. I've been preaching this for awhile now. I trust they've done their due diligence. Cashner is pretty underwhelming though unless they think they can tweak his approach and turn back to the clock to 2015.
  9. I remember watching Cashner in 2015 and thinking how he looked dominant. He's been super underwhelming ever since.
  10. Did you read or see something that suggests the K rate he posted last year is sustainable? Outside of it, he's never posted high K rates...he's been a low K, high BB, GB% machine.
  11. The tickets left are s***. I'm waiting.
  12. um...he's never thrown any strikes. Career 4.55 BB/9 is f***ing awful.
  13. I'm thinking of getting some tickets vs. the Yanks this year (July 8th weekend and possibly the opening day weekend). Last year I bought single game tickets the day they opened and generally got s*** seats for a fair price. I expect attendance will be down this year and thus think I should be able to get better tickets for the same fair price off Stubhub. My concern is that regardless of how s***** the Jays are this year, the Yanks will always be a hot ticket and thus if I wait and buy off Stubhub, I'll end up paying a lot more. Thoughts?
  14. This is f***ing stupid. Embarrassing. It's economics and a business boys. Put on your big boy pants you entitled f***wads.
  15. Big time GB pitcher (career GB% > 61%). He's never been a high strikeout guy though, so the 25 innings last year is probably a mirage unless he made tangible changes. He's been hurt a lot. Throws hard, worth a look.
  16. +1. That's an incredibly bad offer for JD - even in this market. Like 1% of vesting options are picked up, so it's safe to ignore those.
  17. Mark Purdy votes for Vlad, Hoffman and Vizquel. Please just return your right to vote. Or go play in traffic blindfolded. I don't care.
  18. You very well could be right - but that wouldn't justify you're baseless assumptions.
  19. A more appropriate response would have been: Dear Tony, Tell Boras to go f*** himself. Yours truly, MLB
  20. What are you basing this on? The only case we can draw from so far with the Shatkins regime is EE - and this FO offered EE more than Cleveland gave him.
  21. You're fooling yourself if you think you have ANY idea what the open market value for JD will be.
  22. Same. Shatkins - it's time to fill up our pen with low cost, low commitment veteran options...
  23. I have to think the Yanks are prepared to open the season with Miguel Andujar and Gleyber Torres at 3rd and 2nd. I suspect they would have been open to a short term filler like Todd Frasier, but I can't imagine they'd ever sign Moose to a multi year deal.
  24. Phil Coke is making a comeback as a knuckleballer. Don't see many lefties tossing the ole knuckle in there.
