  1. The Freese 9th inning triple and 11th inning walk off was remarkable. I had tingles watching it. EDIT - I just realised the 10th inning of that game was #2 on the list. Holy s*** was it an incredible game to watch!
  2. Going old school on ya Org (not sure how to get FIP, xFIP when I sort by a particular duration)
  3. Jon Harris since June 12th 8-2 3.30 ERA, 62 2/3 Innings, 57 hits allowed, 15 BB, 56K He's quietly having a nice finish to this season.
  4. Well that's depressing.
  5. Nice to see stupidity levels are hitting record highs around here these days.
  6. I believe the stats suggest you want to hit your best hitters 1, 2 & 4...
  7. Yes. What's your point? Look man - Martin's contract is pretty much exactly what teams sign up for when they sign a FA for 4+ years. You're hoping to get 2 or 3 good seasons (which align with your win curve) and you may end up with some below average years at the end of the contract. In the end - teams are trying to find surplus value in all levels of the 25 man roster. Martin provided surplus value over course of the contract and helped us make the ALCS twice. What else could you possible ask for?
  8. Same career WAR as Yadi Molina (and I think Martin even ranks as a better framer). People jizz over Yadi.
  9. yet still supplied surplus value.
  10. He's played 16 games this year. Has he been hurt? I wonder if he'll be able to maintain that .400 BABIP with Juan Pierre's power...
  11. Last night was the first ML game (out of 5) that he didn't give up a run. It will probably go down as his best major league appearance. For a 33rd round, 28 year old - it was truly a feel good story last night for Mike Hauschild. A night he'll probably never forget. Just one of those things that makes this game of baseball a beautiful thing.
  12. Just a lazy 161 wRC+ this year (after the 3 hrs tonight)
  13. OMG - that play be Kinsler. Pearce's face says it all.
  14. 3 home runs for Pearce.
  15. Good for him. I like that Steve Pearce.
  16. It's like you were there. I wore a sweater vest.
  17. It's true, it's true. It was at Tinnish's house. It was a potluck.
  18. He's out if the fielder keeps the tag on him.
  19. I remember meeting AA at a party and he asked everyone who they thought his favourite prospect was in the Jays system. Drew Hutchinson was my answer. The correct answer was Aaron Sanchez. That night I gave away a David Cooper signed baseball as my secret santa gift. Nobody recognized the autograph, nor found my gift to be funny, but someone brought samosas, so it was a good time.
  20. Solarte is just f***ing awful.
  21. Sounding more and more like we were lucky to get what we did for him.
  22. Blair was talking about this today at lunch. Him and Barker (the 2 most insightful guys in baseball) were suggesting Gibby and his staff will be gone - even indicating that Gibby's suggested he knows he won't be back. They thought there's a chance that Gibby is fired before the season is out and Hale takes over as interim manager.
  23. Where's that system rank in MLB?
  24. I know most have given up on Tellez, but he's back up to posting a 112 wRC+ in AAA this season. At 23, he's only a year older than Noda + Spanberger, who are both still in A ball. At 21, Tellez was as good in AA than those 2 are in A ball this year. I'm not sure any of them should be in our Top 15 right now, but I'm not sure Noda or Spanberger belong above Tellez. Spanberger maybe based solely on the elite power.
  25. What # did you go with? Is he going to wear 27 at the ML level for his Dad?
