I don't either! Be yourself tonight boys and let's get this done. Support the team, support the decisions and let's help take this team to the World Series!!!
Not really - too much fastball, although v. Snell, the decision probably comes down to Straw or DS over Lukes.
DS thrives against guys like Bassitt - finesse guys. LA is mostly power arms, so DS is likely a cheerleader from here on out.
I believe he entered the 2023 playoffs 2 for his last 35 with 14 K's. He's probably lucky he was even on the roster at that point.
I love me some DS. I wish there were better matchups for him as I'd love to see him in the lineup more.
@sliderguy35 is undoubtedly the ROY of this board. We're lucky to have you.
And how about a round of applause for @Brock Beauchampfor taking on this group of degenerates and transforming the board into what it is today. Special thanks to those who allowed the change to happen as well.
Now let's go win a f*cking game and get to the WORLD SERIES!
Did you catch in the post game interviews last night when JS confirmed it was his plan all along to go with Hoffman for 2 innings last night. The JS mob ought to have been infuriated with that plan/decision. Thank god it worked out - which obviously distracted them.
Hoping for a nice 9-2 game tonight.
Because I don't have much faith in the pitching showing up (outside of Bieber). I don't like our chances of winning a close game. The offense needs to be relentless - early and often.
That's irrelevant. We're talking about how he'll perform on Game 7 if called upon.
Hoffman has typically been lit up when he doesn't have his velo and his command is awful by the metrics. It's great he dominated last night - he did have good command for once. I just have no faith he'll have that type of command again anytime soon, because I watched him pitch this year.
I don't like the prospects of him trying to close out Game 7 throwing 94 tonight. But a broken clock is right twice a day, so may he'll have good command in B2B outings for the first time in 3 months.
I mean - you hope so. But big risk IMO when it's an unproven tactic. There's a pretty good chance that more often than not, Fisher is more effective than Gausman on 2 days rest.
Can't imagine many trust what JS will do.
I don't. They have Kirby, Castillo, Woo all actually available, plus we haven't seen Munoz and Speier are rested.
Offense needs to step up and capitalize on our opportunities.
