  1. Let's go boys. We got this tonight. Hold the line, support these boys. They are made for this.
  2. I don't think he did. Sounded like right centre to me. But I do agree his calls haven't been great. I actually think Ben Shulman has had much better calls. I suspect we'll see Shulman and Shulman in the booth together soon.
  3. Chill boys. This is no time to be fighting/arguing. Let's all enjoy this together.
  4. Just shutting down a buddies cottage. Annual tradition. Maybe do some fishing.
  5. Much appreciated Grant. I'm on an island in the middle of nowhere near Temagimi.
  6. Boys I'm up in Northern Ontario, in the middle of nowhere watching this game in a 32" monitor. This is f*cking incredible. What a statement. We are here. The movie is playin'!!!
  7. Ty France is an interesting add. I guess he wants the extra bat over an extra emergency arm in the pen.
  8. Just remember that if he boots a ball, or can't execute a DP that hurts us man. IKF has been really solid in the playoffs IMO.
  9. LFG Boys. What an incredible day to be alive. All positive - all day - all series! Let's shock the world.
  10. In theory yes, but playing it for the first time in the World Series, while playing through an injury comes with massive risk. There are all kinds of nuances to playing the position that are different than SS. I don't have much doubt he can figure it out after playing it through spring training, or playing it for 3-4 weeks at the ML level - but to ask him to do it for the first time in the WS is risky as f*ck. Then you have to ask yourself how effective the bat will actually be. He's been off for a long time now - no rehab games to get your timing back - it's straight into the fire. I mean obviously I hope it works, but there's a fairly high probability it doesn't. The good news is you're just trying to be an upgrade over IKF, so the bar is super low. I'm on board with the move myself. I just don't really want to hear everyone blame JS and the FO if this backfires.
  11. Don't forget this if this blows up in their face. If the Jays do this, it comes with a pretty big risk.
  12. Oh man - that's awful for Vesia.
  13. LOL - you got that right and now it's probably going to get worse. The Blue Jays success will have a MASSIVE effect on youth baseball across the country. Travel teams and "training facilities" are going to be licking their chops and raking in the money over the next few years. I'm actually supposed to go help a buddy close his cottage up WAY up north in the middle of buttf*ck nowhere. He's prepared with cell booster and 32" TV so we can watch the games this weekend. It's an annual tradition with some of my best friends I never see because of my kids sports. I did take the family to playoff games back in 2022 and 2023, so I'm not some deadbeat Dad, but the Jays lost both games so it wasn't the experience anyone wanted. If the Jays return home for Game 6 - I think that's when the irrational decision will be made. It's the GOD DAMN principle of it all Term. What kinda c*nt gets access to tickets to the first World Series games in 32 years and says "nah - I'd rather pocket a bunch of cash than actually go. Let's rip people off today". There's no doubt that Ticketmaster is in on it too - f*ck that corporation sans lube.
  14. That's 100% how I feel (and how most feel I suspect). All the rich f*cks jump on the bandwagon and pretend they give a f*ck about the Jays or baseball in general. I suspect the conversations you'll hear at the games will be downright embarrassing. And here I am - a lifelong Blue Jays fan who spends countless hours discussing and following the Blue Jays, a father with 3 sons who love and play baseball, a guy who donates countless hours to coaching baseball and I'm left here trying to decide if I can justify a $5K to $6K "hit" to take my boys to their first and maybe only World Series game. It really sucks man.
  15. Did you hear David Samson on Blair & Barker yesterday? They asked him what winning a World Series means to a franchise and the first think he leaned into the was the financial benefit. He starts off by explaining that it allows the franchise to jack up the price of everything (literally everything) immediately and for years to follow. Straight to ROI's. While I completely appreciate this is a business and most business owners believe they only exist to make profit for shareholders, I couldn't help but feel a bit disheartened that the first thing a former MLB executive thinks of is gauging the f*ck out of the fans. I also appreciate the more they gauge fans, the more money they'll potentially have available to spend on the team and the salary allocation in future years, but f*ck me, it still sounded so slimy. I'm pretty sure I'll just be watching at home.
  16. It's a really interesting read. Thanks for posting it. There really is a lot that goes into these strategies that fans don't see or understand well. That's probably one of the reasons I get defensive against the hindsight armchair managers.
  17. What a wholesome interview. Rootin' for this guy is easy.
  18. This is 100% spot on. There's definitely recency bias here. Robbie's home run changed the franchise. Honestly, trying to rank all these moments is unnecessary. Let's just enjoy the fact we've had so many incredible moments to cherish.
  19. I was there for EE's, but I experienced all of those as a fan + the Alomar & Sprague home runs. They've all come at different points in my life, but I feel incredibly blessed to have seen them through the eyes of a diehard fan. I've lived these moments and felt them deep in the core of my soul. For fans like us - these moments become part of who you are. They change you.
  20. Do you flip Clement and Schneider v. LHP? Clement is red hot too.
  21. I agree. Lukes is a grinder. I want him in the lineup.
