  1. Biggio didn't hit s*** at the end of the season and has little to no power. At best you're hoping he walks.
  2. You only call the ball if you know you can get to it. Neither Bo or Springer 'knew' they could get to that ball and thus neither were in a position to catch it. Also hard to catch it when you're going all out like that. Nobody did anything wrong on that play. It was just VERY unfortunate. You must not play baseball.
  3. I need to buy another ticket for the game tomorrow. The longer I wait, the cheaper this ticket is going to be right?
  4. Time for the full length movie Vlad - let's f***ing go.
  5. Helsley can't grip the ball and is giving this game back to the Phils.
  6. I just came to post this. Insane - he's their best hitter by wRC+ Then again - our best hitter by wRC+ is hitting 8th today FFS...
  7. Andres Gimenez says hello.
  8. Keep in mind that with the potential to play 3 games in a row, the Jays may have added Kikuchi in the event that Mayza isn't available for one of the games. That scares the crap out of me - but the very recent numbers have been good.
  9. Quite a bounce back year for Jose Quintana - still surprised he's starting over Waino
  10. I can tell you that minor baseball in Ontario could REALLY use a long playoff run and some sustained winning by the Jays. COVID had a huge impact on youth baseball unfortunately (youth hockey also).
  11. Same price I think. I didn't have an issue with those prices personally. I know I paid a f***ton more to go to games in 2015 and 2016 and having been to several Blue Jay playoff games, I think the experience is worth every penny.
  12. What are the chances we see Gabby Moreno playing LF in this series?
  13. I think the 200 level corners were like $62 (incl. fees and taxes) during the regular season.
  14. I actually thought my seats for Game 2 on Saturday were reasonably priced. Section 207, Row 3 for $117 (incl. fees and taxes). I hate the whole scalper/resale world. Such a slimy way to make money.
  15. I'm worry as f*** about playing Tapia. He's f***ing garbage, but I don't see any alternative right now unless you're going to stick Moreno out there, or put Whit in LF with Biggio at 2nd. But those obviously have a ton of risk too as Biggio hasn't hit worth a s*** lately and Moreno's....well, not a LFer. Sorry man - I typically have no issue with your shtick about how Player A could post these numbers if he walked more, or these numbers if he swung more or how the outcome of Vlad could be A, B or C. Just seems like every time I come on lately it's you with a half pager about: 1. fill in players Seattle or trying to win a battle v. Grant that Seattle actually isn't that good; 2. should 62 hrs by Judge matter or not; or 3. forfeiting games. Bring on Game 1 so we have new things to talk about!
  16. Would you give it a rest for a little bit man? You're f***ing overwhelming lately. I DGAF about any of this, but keep in mind that Haggerty put up 1.5 WAR in only 201 PA's. That's a 4+ WAR player over 550 PA's (and yes I know prorating it like that never happens).
  17. capitalized the D ffs (that's what she said)
  18. Not that he was a stud before, but he had a wRC+ of 87 and 89 in 2020 and 2021. It would appear the highly inconsistent playing time has totally f***ed him at the dish this year unfortunately. But - as long as he keeps his head down and his mouth shut and keeps working hard - he'll hang around the big leagues. And he could prove valuable in the playoffs.
  19. Olerud - the issue is that it never f***ing ends. Pages of discussions that lead nowhere because there are valid points on both sides of the table.
  20. Interesting - what about the people who jump out onto the batters eye area to grab home runs? Didn't Pujols' last HR end up in the batters eye and guys jumped the railing to go grab it? Would they have been kicked out and force to give up the ball?
  21. Yes - I believe so.
  22. Which is why he jumped down in hopes that it landed short of the stands, or the fans dropped it???
  23. I think the dude already WAS a millionaire. He manages 197 BILLION dollars in assets and is married to an ESPN broadcaster. Some guys have all the luck?
