  1. Believe me - we're all rooting for that to happen. A spats scouting report on Barriera/Bonilla would be incredible. Fingers crossed for you.
  2. Increased whiffs on the sinker could be simply be related to him using the slider more. I think last year most batters would just eliminate the slider and look sinker and thus it's easier to make contact. If they have to respect the slider more, he'll get more sinkers past batters (I think).
  3. Love the updates spats! I look forward to these each spring.
  4. Do we think the decision to stop selling booze at a particular inning is based on giving them time to sober up to drive home? I would have thought it was based on reducing the # of drunk idiots in the stadium causing issues (especially if the outcome of the game gets ugly). I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I hate seeing people who just come to the stadium with the goal of getting drunk (same with people do this on the golf course actually).
  5. Brad Lidge may be a good comp also?
  6. To be fair - I have zero faith that Buck wouldn't paint the same picture if this happened to the Jays. He wouldn't know this nuisance in the rule either.
  7. I tend to agree with all of this - although I do think Siakam is a #2 on a championship team. The guy is a beast. Curious to see what happens with FVV. We have 0 depth at guard, so if FVV and Trent leave, I think we'll have to trade one of Barnes or Siakam for some PG help. Those 2 are a little too redundant. I guess you can move OG, but they'll miss his defense and he spreads the floor better than Barnes/Siakam do if they play PF/SF. Also need to re-sign Poeltl I believe? It's a bit of a mess.
  8. I think the whiff % on his SL is like 60% right now. It seems to have more depth than previous years. It's a f***ing elite pitch. The fastball has velo, but I agree the command isn't there yet. You almost know for certain right now that if Romano gets down in the count, he's throwing the SL.
  9. Well that was a s***** finish for the Raps. Not that I expected them to make any noise if they made it through the play in tournament. Not sure where they go from here. The core still seems good and I like what Poeltl brought to the team. Bring on the offseason I guess. Curious to see what they do.
  10. yes he would.
  11. I love these types of updates - keep them coming guys!
  12. I thought he'd seen an uptick in his velo?
  13. Can he just start right now?
  14. Yikes - what the f*** is Buxton doing?
  15. but are they competitive walks?
  16. Harold is awful too, but did he have his own website? http://www.firejoemorgan.com/
  17. So Shulman talks about how good of an analyst that Pedro is and Buck compares him to Joe f***ing Morgan? It's time Buck, it's time.
  18. You didn't? Buck told us all like 27 times that there was contact (when there clearly wasn't).
  19. That was the call? The catcher stepped on the umpire and the Jays get penalized for it?
  20. 482 feet apparently. Dude is in full breakout mode. Good for baseball/Seattle, bad for Toronto.
  21. Yeah I agree. He's too good to not figure it out and return as a beast.
