  1. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/vlad-the-omniscient/ Apparently Vlad is good.
  2. I don't know how quickly the number stabilize, but Richards savant page is as RED as it's ever been. I think the Jays will hold onto all of them as long as they can (keeping Pearson in AAA), but at some point, they may need to make that tough call with Bass and I wouldn't be surprised if it's Bass that goes and not Richards.
  3. What is Pearson's Stuff+ in AAA? Is there a website to find all this s***? Why isn't it on Fangraphs yet FFS?
  4. Frasso's mechanics look awful.
  5. I think it's worth a shot, given what we've seen from Belt and Biggio so far...
  6. Kershaw is on a whole different level - maybe 3 more levels. Career ERA < 2.50, Career FIP of 2.76, Career xFIP of 2.97 and his performance just doesn't change....it's just the injuries that reduce the number of innings he pitches. It's remarkable how the performance hasn't dipped.
  7. Man - I really undervalue how amazing Kershaw is. I take it for granted. Shame on me.
  8. I agree with this. Cutting Belt just gives more AB's to Lukes and Biggio and honestly, I'd rather stick with Belt given those options. The f***ing guy can't just be done can he? I guess he can, but f***.
  9. April 19 Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point Chapman - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points - Brownie19 Springer - 2 Points - Jonn, Stangstag Kirk - 3 Points - wilko Kiermaier - 3 Points Merrifield - 5 Points - JohnHavok Lukes - 7 Points - JaysAllMighty Off the bench: 10 Points
  10. And Tiger is out again indefinitely - procedure on his ankle. Sad.
  11. Sorry - to clarify, I agree that the prospects we got from the Mets were underwhelming, but when we paired that with the Ryu signing (who at the time was better than Stro and cost the same) - I think most thought it was a great decision to move Stro before he became a FA and replace him with Ryu, plus the prospects.
  12. Ryan Noda is the new greek god of walks and will surpass 3 WAR this season
  13. Remember when we all thought we made out line bandits to get SWR, Kay and Ryu for Stro? Good intent, but that was a swing and a miss.
  14. I certainly understand this happens, but man do I struggle with it. If someone invites me to the baseball game - I want to watch the f***ing game. If you want to talk business, let's go out for dinner.
  15. I've heard 500 level right behind home plate (say first 5 rows) is a really cool and good view. I want to try that out soon. I also love the 200 level in general - almost from any location in the ball park. Shorter lines for food/washrooms too. 200 Level right behind home plate is probably my favourite seat in the house. I think the 100 level between the edge of the infield and the outfield are the worst seats in the house. Those are the seats I wouldn't sit in, even if the tickets were free (200 level in those locations are better, but still not a place I want to be). I've always enjoyed 100 and 200 level outfield seats. Good value for me to take my family of 5 to.
  16. A lot of jays prospects have to be honest. Most are very SSS, but slow starts suck.
  17. The bottom line doesn't give a f*** about that. Better bottom line could mean more salary budget, which could mean a better team. I mean even the changes in the OF aren't really intended for true baseball fans. Those are catering to casual fans who want to come drink more, hang out with friends and catch a little bit of baseball. I fully suspect the marketing studies suggest you need to have a ton of diversity within your options to optimize who buys tickets and that's what they seem to be going for.
  18. The worst part is that you've formed an opinion about how Anthony should have acted, even though he wasn't even on the flight. And for f*** sakes, if you spill a few kernels on the floor at the movie theatre, it is completely reasonable to just leave them there. Finally - I'm all for teaching kids to clean up after themselves, but let's not forget that those kids may have been up very early, or spent hours upon hours standing in line before having to try and sit quietly on an airplane. That's going to make it a f***TON more difficult to use this as a learning experience for them to cleanup after themselves. This wasn't a typical Thursday afternoon where the kid spilt their snack right after nap time.
  19. Everyone throws peanut shells on the ground and your trophy for the best parent on earth is in the mail. Only a gold star champions like you successfully teach their 2 year olds to pick up after themselves. Oh - and go f*** yourself.
  20. Early returns on Belly have been positive. Looks to be making way more contact.
  21. They didn't. The airline gave their kids complimentary popcorn and then came back with a garbage bag and told the mom to pick up every last piece as soon as they reached cruising altitude and the seatbelt sign came off. I've never heard of an airplane having popcorn available on it either. I saw pictures and it didn't look at that bad. I don't purposely spill popcorn at the movie theatre, but if I do spill some by accident, I don't pick it up - nor would I at the Jays game. I also crack peanut shells and throw them on the ground at the Jays game. My ticket price for a plane ticket, a movie ticket and a Jays ticket includes effort to clean the place up once the event is over. That doesn't mean I fully support people being *******s and making bigger messes on purpose, but that doesn't appear to be what happened here. And those suggesting a 2 year old should pick up after themselves must not have kids. That's really stupid.
  22. April 17th: Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point Chapman - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points - Dylan, JohnHavok Springer - 2 Points- jaysblue, Jonn Belt - 3 Points - JaysAllMighty, Brownie19 Kiermaier - 3 Points Jansen - 4 Points - WryNGinger, LTBF Biggio - 4 Points - Stangstag, Grant, wilko Off the bench: 10 Points
  23. There's also just a chance that his body is struggling with the increased workload he put it through last year. I still remember like 5-10 years ago when there was so much talk/studies about the risks of increasing your workload by more than 50 innings from one year to the next, with lots of examples of pitchers who just sucked the year after a large workload increase (I believe it was Strasberg who got shut down in the playoffs). You don't hear a lot of people talk about this anymore - which could be because the studies were all bogus, or the reality that SPers are throwing fewer and fewer innings per year and thus we simply don't see many big workload increases anymore - but when you add in the playoffs last year, Manoah added about 100 innings.
  24. It might be better to see whether his teammates have his back on social media (and maybe they do, or some do). He likes to run his mouth a lot - it will be interesting if his teammates remain fully supportive of his actions or not. I for one hope that: a) he matures and stops acting like the world is against him; and he starts pitching better.
