  1. Isn't Aumont pitching in men's league in Ottawa? I know some boys from the Nepean Brewers and I thought they said they were facing him.
  2. at least tree fiddy pesos.
  3. Rodgers to the Jets in 3, 2, 1... I'm really curious to see what they can get for him. It's a new era in GB and I'm excited to see the rebuild. I've got a little optimistism that Love is the guy. I just clicked on a random mock draft and it suggested "The Jets give up their second- and third-round picks in 2023 and 2024 along with Elijah Moore in the Rodgers deal." Looks like the Packers could the top TE or Smith-Njigba with their own pick... WR - Watson, Doubs, Moore TE - Kincad Young, but skilled.
  4. I fully expect Varsho is going to play a lot of CF over the next 3-4 years. KK is injury prone and a short term fix, Springer is aging and should stay in RF and we don't have anyone else ready to take the reigns in CF long term.
  5. I suspect there's a backstory that hasn't (and may not) come out yet.
  6. I wasn't watching it Grant. I was just trolling on here to get a rise out of you and others. Not everyone is a patriot to this country.
  7. He might leave the dugout by the 3rd inning. He must be disgusted with all these draft dodgers who won't step up for their country.
  8. Exactly - this Country NEEDS them to play in this exhibition tournament. They bring all Canadians great shame.
  9. I'm honestly not sure if you're saying the WBC is WAY above the Spengler Cup, or the Spengler Cup is WAY above the WBC. I assume you mean the former. I think people need to accept that not everyone bleeds Red & White (I'm someone who generally doesn't). Lots of basketball players choose not to play for the Team Canada Olympic basketball team, so it should be NO surprise at all that lots choose not to play in the WBC - especially given the timing.
  10. I don't know man - in terms of talent - this is equivalent to like the Spangler Cup. Biggest difference is there isn't many opportunities to represent your country in baseball. I know some people just love the idea of wearing the Canadian uniform and representing the country they love - but others don't. I'm not going to shame anyone who didn't bother - knowing Canada had little to no chance of winning anything - when they could otherwise be preparing for the jobs that pays the bills. I mean if you're some no-name guy from GB/China or guys like Dasan Brown (and other Canadians who aren't close to making the majors) - sure - go for it. But if you're Taillon, who just signed with a new team, I can totally see that you want to be with them - getting to know the organization/teammates and getting prepared to excel for a new team. It will be interesting to see if this decision affects Otto Lopez's ability to make the Jays.
  11. This seems to be a real issue. Has any team fired their 3rd base coach after spring training? Oh - and use another word man. Idiot works well.
  12. I am yes. I didn't say it was boring - I just said I couldn't get through the 1st inning. I thought I would enjoy it, but I didn't, especially with the Players on TV. I think GB having zero players I've ever heard of hurt it for me. Look man - you seem concerned that I didn't enjoy it. It's OK - we don't have to enjoy the same things. I really enjoyed watching the golf if you're interested.
  13. I mean you could be right, but why does playing in Japan for 1 year close the door on every playing in MLB again? Interesting that a team in Japan doesn't care about the allegations (where he was never charged), but MLB does?
  14. That's the sign of a good team.
  15. Pure dominance. He's on a major role right now.
  16. Sorry - I didn't enjoy watching Cal Quantril walk a bunch of nobody's. I actually turned it off before Canada came to the plate and went back to watching the Players. I guess if the Players wasn't on, I may have left the Canada game on - but only because the Jays spring training game wasn't on TV.
  17. Not as ridiculous as the facebook/twitter comments
  18. I agree Grant. I thought I'd be excited to watch this, but I couldn't even make it through 1 inning of the Canada/GB game. I'd rather watch the Jays spring training games.
  19. These are pretty close to what we use in U11 baseball
  20. are they using the clock at the WBC? I'll assume they are not. JaysAllMighty must love it.
  21. Why wouldn't the Blue Jays do the same thing? For me, the LOE is the Blue Jays HOF and Carter doesn't belong. Celebrate his historic HR in a more appropriate way. Leave the LOE for great players in team history.
  22. Munenori Kawasaki interviews with Barry Davis
  23. I support this. Joe doesn't really below on the LOE simply due to a historic home run.
