I think everyone loved watching those 2 pitch! I've heard people say they like it when watching from home, but if they go to the game in person, they want it to last a little longer. Highly doubt I'd ever say that, but some might.
I had a new observation last night. Now that the pitch clock is reducing the duration of games, my 7 year old gets to watch a lot more of the game each night before bed. Will that help grow the game? I don't know, but it can't hurt. I still remember the battles with my parents when I was a kid "one more inning mom!"
Sometimes the little things can have a big impact.
I don't see why a team in Las Vegas wouldn't work. You'd probably need a dome stadium with lots of air conditioning, but hockey/football seem to be thriving there. I was in Vegas last week and the hockey games were completely sold out with crazy scalper prices. That said - does Vegas "slow down" in the summer because it's too f***ing hot? I guess it's too hot in Florida, Texas and Arizona too...
I don't know, but people love that s***. We were there for the Springer jersey give away last year and it was stupid. We finally got to the front of the line and the last few jerseys were given to the folks in front of us. Luckily I was telling someone in line that we didn't get one and that it was my 12 year olds birthday and some old guy gave us his and saved the day.
It's a f***ing great story. The guy is just a remarkable talent, but that was overshadowed the past couple of years due to injuries and that contract. I'm happy to see him rebound and shut the critics up.
Oh ya - that's fine. I'm fairly sure Hatch is the 40th man on roster right now. But there's no harm in Deadpool hoping for some type of starter to reliver magic.
Man - it was hard to see Tiger struggling out there. Those conditions were just awful for him.
As always, I really enjoyed seeing Fred Couples come put on a show. Oldest ever to make the cut. The guy is a living legend. And as much as I've turned a bit on Phil after this LIV s*** - it was nice to see him play well and set records this past weekend.
Question of the day - who's the next player to be asked to join (or replace) Gary Player, Jack and Watson in the inaugural tee off at the start of the masters?
I still don't see the issue with that
Jays hand Berrios a massive contract and almost immediately he becomes a pumpkin. I see no reason the employer can't strongly suggest that he spend some/most of the offseason working to fix what's wrong. Maybe they did and Berrios told them to piss off because he doesn't give a f*** [shrugs]
Boys - I was at OMHA's all weekend and am now in Vegas so I haven't been on the board in days. Safe to say it's been a complete s*** show in here? People jumping off buildings, burning jerseys?
