  1. I thought there were already reports that the girl and her mother told Wander she was 18 when they first met and asked for $200,000 and a Mercedes after he ended it and Wander said no. Probably speculation of course, but all the more reason for everyone to chill with the opinions until the real details come out.
  2. Not sure I get this. Vlad, Kirk and Manoah were projected (by steamers) to produce 5.2, 4.3 and 2.6 WAR (12 WAR total) this season and have provided to date, 0.4, 1.2 and -0.4 (1.2 WAR total). Even if they performed at 25% below their projections, we're cruising into the playoffs - we might even be a 100 win team. f***, we're probably cruising into the playoffs if they gave us 50% of their projections, which would still be a massive disappointment. It's really hard to fathom just how s***** those 3 have been. I fully understand that front offices need to plan for 's*** to go wrong' and while I'm sure there are examples where teams have overcome more and still won, I think the chances of overcoming this type of situation is low and more often than not, any FO/Manager would fail. You simply need a lot of other things to break you way. To be honest, the Jays have had a ton of things break their way this year, which is the only reason we're in the playoff chase. Does the FO and Manager deserve kudos for finding a way to overcome these challenges? Maybe, but there's probably a lot of luck involved. Do I think they should clean house if they ultimate fail to overcome a disastrous season by 3 of their young, star players? I do not. Those 3 players chose to show up this year completely out of shape and unable to perform and have essentially sunk the team. I'm told the FO can do very little to ensure players show up in shape, outside of asking nicely (which I think is BS). If the team is disappointed in the outcome of this season - why wouldn't you blame the 3 players directly related to it first and look at fixing that issue? Does anyone really think a new FO or Manager is going to be able to win here if Vlad, Kirk and Manoah give them 1.2 WAR total? This isn't the NFL where fat f***s like Ndamukong Suh show up to camp overweight and the team just cuts their ass and moves on. You could suggest Atkins should have already traded these 3 losers, but we all know it's not that easy. Anyone leading this team is going to have an uphill battle to fix this problem. Need to find a way to get them motivated to perform to the levels they are capable of - which is obviously easier said than done. This is so s***** for fans. We go from having a generational talent to a useless f*** who's a replacement level player. Vlad has almost single handedly f***ed this organization over. Blame hitting coaches, managers, FO all you want - but he's f***ed this team over. We'd probably be in a better position right now if he blew out his knee and didn't play at all this year. Instead we're stuck running him out there daily - just hoping he figures something out.
  3. Would it be crazy for the Jays to move Bohrofen up to A+ ball already? His ISO is .842 and his wRC+ is 307. That's f***ing insane.

  5. This should probably be our starting configuration, with Belt at DH.
  6. Keep chasing you fat useless f***
  7. Get Espinal and Vlad off this team. Pure garbage.
  8. Correction, I think Babe Schneider should play over Vlad
  9. Correct. Since May 1st Biggio - 123 wRC+, 0.6 WAR Vlad - 103 wRC+, -0.3 WAR Chapman - 92 wRC+ BARF Biggio has been our 3rd best 'regular' hitter since May 1st behind Bo and Belt. Ahead of 2 hit Whit even.
  10. Bradford Doolittle is estimating the true value of Ohtani is 12 years / $790M. Holy f***.
  11. He just needs to start drinking whatever Nelson Cruz did...he went from injury prone to a beast from age 33-40. If he matched Cruz (which it's highly doubtful he could) from age 34-40, he'd finish with about 650 HRs.
  12. It will be interesting to see how Stanton finishes his career. If he plays until he's 40, he very well could reach 600 home runs with <60 career WAR and not make the HOF. That said, he's been so injury prone that it's difficult to see him playing until he's 40.
  13. What are the Tigers going to do with Javy Baez? Good god. Also - Belt and Noda are having nearly identical seasons, which is a bit ironic.
  14. I think there's enough pedigree and age/level results there to project him to be a cornerstone for the team.
  15. Berrios is like 29th in baseball in WAR from a starting pitcher. There certainly are better 1/2 combos in the game (Wheeler/Nola, Max/Eovaldi, Verlander/Framber), but it's really not a bad position to be in. It opens a good discussion on who the Jays would actually start in the playoffs. Kikuchi is pitching as well as anyone in baseball right now - a lot could change before October, but do you role with Gausman/Berrios/Bassit, knowing that Kikuchi is someone who could probably be lights out in the pen - maybe used in an Andrew Miller type role? It doesn't seem like Bassit or Berrios could play a similar role, but I could be wrong. Or are you rolling with Kikuchi as your #2 given how dominant he's been lately? Do you piggyback Bassit and Kikuchi? 6-7 weeks to go, but those will be interesting decisions for the team to make.
  16. You still don't get it. I think you want to get it, but you don't because you're too stupid - so now you're grasping at straws and attacking people. I now feel bad for you.
  17. You should probably delete your account at this point man. No coming back from this insane outburst. All because you don't comprehend basic concepts. So sad.
  18. Seattle just did the same thing at this years deadline...
  19. Probably a good idea since you got f***ing rekt in the other thread. Hopefully you're learning a bit though.
  20. Absolutely. Cano isn't even striking out a batter an inning this year and hasn't been dominant since the end of May (although he's been better as of late).
  21. Is this a breakthrough? The results we've gotten from Belt, KK and Merrifield are certainly well above average and there is an element of luck involved. Just the same as there was bad luck involved in the Brad Hand trade and the results we've gotten from DeJong and Hicks to date. Atkins isn't at fault because DeJong has 3 hits in 39 PA's for a -77 wRC+ since joining the Jays...
  22. Bullpens are simply too good to ride your starter too much these days. The game has changed dramatically. That said, Jays starters have thrown the 6th most innings in baseball, so Schneider does ride them a ton. I don't get why fans complain about his use of the starters.
  23. This is also true. When you combine both facts, the probability that he'll re-sign with the Jays is pretty low unfortunately.
  24. Holy crap, you're right. The Angels already have Nolan Schanuel in AA! 60 PA's and a wRC+ of 160 Wyatt Langford is in A+ ball with a 218 wRC+ in 40 PA's
