  1. I think there's a possibility they want to trade for Soto so they can sign him long term with the money they were going to extend Vlad and/or Bo with - assuming they will both walk. That has nothing to do with your question. I have no idea if Lee is good. Seems like there's a decent probability that he sucks though.
  2. I got the opportunity to play Oakdale this past August and they cut the hole in the same place it was for the Canadian Open....then they had a little flag on the green where Taylor made the putt from - so everyone was allowed to take a few runs at it. It was very cool. The putt is insane though. Way more break and slope than you can see on TV. I have a cool video of my attempting to make it. I gave it a good roll and missed by about an inch.....only to then watch it roll off the back of the green. Really cool course too.
  3. I think I like TS more than I like GB. But I don't really give a f*** if TS's boyfriend loses, so this was a win-win situation for me personally. Love is on a heater right now. That young receiving core is starting to gel now that they are healthy (besides Musgrove - although Kraft has played well in his absence). Would be nice to get Jones back healthy. It will be interesting to see how they finish the year.
  4. 100%. There's no way his floor is 1.5-2 WAR
  5. All titles are based on click potential man.
  6. That's not really now it works man. He'd be perfectly fine in the OF. And if you want some history on this, Rick Ankiel had TJ surgery, but then gave up pitching to be a full time OFer. He had an INCREDIBLE arm in the OF. Here's some proof
  7. No? Where was that? I think the vast majority of people believe AA is now a very good GM. Is he perfect? No, he still makes mistakes, but he's very good.
  8. The probability of him being a very good to GG level OFer are quite high. He's one of the most athletic players in the game. One of the fastest runners, who obviously has a huge arm. He was also regarded as a great defensive OFer in Japan. You don't have to squint much (at all?) to see this. Now of course, he hasn't played it in years, so yes, there is an outside chance he's lots some instincts and had turned into Teo out there - but I suspect the probability of that is quite lot - 10-15% chance.
  9. I can't believe SD is showing their hand like this. Everyone knows they are broke and can't afford Soto anymore. GM must be offering 50 cents on the dollar.
  10. Given your history - you're probably talking to yourself.
  11. This guy has TOTY locked up. Though it is crazy that Nicky Lopez has a 6 WAR season under his belt.
  12. You're impossible man. First off, if he's a "DH for most of the contract" than he's also pitching. If he isn't pitching, he's likely a GG RFer who putting up 7-10 WAR a season. Obviously there are risks in any deal this big, but Ohtani has fewer risks than most as Laika points out. You also can't downplay the potential to have one of the best baseball players in the world (and of all time?) on your roster. Nothing seems to make you happy (unrealistic expectations much?).
  13. I'm sure they are. They may also be including clauses that allows Ohtani to decide whether he pitches or not? Maybe Ohtani wants to pitch, even if he becomes 2021-2023 Patrick Corbin on the mound because he wants the legacy of remaining a 2 way player his entire career.
  14. I was just going to ask this also. At what point is his effectiveness on the mound no longer worth "wasting" him as a DH? Is he PRIME Mike Trout if he becomes a fulltime RFer? I think he's probably a 7-10 WAR player
  15. Not to be a wet blanket, but what is the probably that Ohtani never returns to form as a pitcher? 2nd TJ surgery. What are the chances that someone is paying $600M for a phenomenal RFer (I'd assume he moves to RF and is a stud there if he ever has to give up pitching)? Although I 1000% love watching him pitch, I've always wondered just how good he could be if he just focused on hitting. Is it a 40% chance that whomever signs Ohtani gets little to no pitching out of him? I wonder how much teams are factoring that into their offers.
  16. I mean if you did get 2021 Vlad - which Top 5 is better? and yes that's a big IF
  17. I will sacrifice my wife if it means we land Ohtani...
  18. Maybe just admit you're wrong and stop being a dick? $40M a year in endorsements isn't even that much. Ronaldo made $90M in 2023, Lebron made $75M, Steph Curry made $52M, Federer made $95M
  19. Everyone f***ing loves Ryan Reynolds. That's a good call.
  20. Von Miller is apparently assaulting pregnant women. That's not good.
  21. Which one? He has like 12.
