  1. Not having to face Mountcastle and Santander this year might add 5 wins alone!
  2. Yeah - I saw something on the Top 10 position changes proposed for 2025. I can't find it, but here are the ones I can remember Holmes to SP Bregman to 2nd (if he re-signs with Houston) Altuve to LF (apparently he's offered that up if it means the Astros can sign Bregman) Trout to LF Betts to SS (full-time) Fitzgerald to 2nd (Adames to SS) Willson Contreras to 1st Perhaps the others will come to me (or maybe they won't).
  3. Just become Mo Rivera then. Problem solved.
  4. Perfect - I hope he gets 450 PA's for the O's this year.
  5. What would it cost to acquire Lars Nootbar? What are the Cards doing with Jordan Walker these days?
  6. He needs to do something "really" well - like murder LHP. Unfortunately - he doesn't.
  7. I was going to say he's an OK option as a 4th OFer. A switch hitter who can play all 3 OF positions and he's still only 27, so there's potential you could still "unlock" something as he has pedigree; however, it looks like his range and defense has rapid declined and he can't play CF anymore, so yes - why?
  8. The Orioles signed Dylan Carlson to a one-year, $975,000 contract Monday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. (1/27/2025)
  9. It's going to be interesting to see how some of these converted relivers hold up after large IP jumps.
  10. That would be my bet at this time. Altuve has said he'll move to LF so Bregman can play 2nd.
  11. I'm not so sure. Robert Jr is getting expensive and he was awful last year - in addition to always being hurt. I'm not sure he commands a Top 100 prospect. Someone like Ricky T, who's a former Top 100 prospect (and who would return to it quickly if he returns healthy) should be enough.
  12. Springer would be a killer linebacker.
  13. After 12 years in the majors, hitters finally noticed he only had 2 pitches 😂
  14. One dimensional players simply aren't worth as much. The contract we just got Tony Taters for seems to back that up, as does the deal Teo got.

  16. It's well worth the trip IMO. Cool enough City and an amazing ballpark.
  17. Fan rejects Pirates' offer for rare Skenes card https://thescore.com/mlb/news/319951 The 11 year old who pulled that Skenes 1 of 1 card is rejecting Pirates offer and putting it up for sale. Season tickets for life don't mean anything when you live in Cali...
  18. I think I'm happy that Pressly isn't interested. 36, declining (consistently) and expensive. I mean if the Astros ate a lot of the contract and we didn't give up much - sure, but I think we have more pressing needs.
  19. Or they're stuck after the results of the physical. I imagine his shoulder/elbow look like a 90 year old's after he installed drywall on ceilings for 45 years.
  20. He could be kickin' it old school with the Sears catalog...
  21. He's coming off a bad season and is often injured. He's due $15M this year (but with only a $8.333M luxury tax amount) and then has club options for 2026 and 2027 at $20M. So - he's not as "affordable" as he once was and I'm not sure his value has ever been lower. I certainly think the Jays have the prospects to land him. Something built around some of our recently drafted players, or around Ricky T should get the job done. One advantage of never developing prospects is you don't have to worry about "letting one get away" 😉
