  1. If its not his back its something else. Lind has been tremendously overrated by this fanbase. Fact is that Lind has never been worth more than 2 WAR in the last 5 years.
  2. This is a good deal. Lind is overrated. Aside from all the constant nagging injuries, Estrada is a decent arm that is at least Happ's superior.
  3. Not at all upset with these. Time to move on from both of these guys.
  4. The wins analysis already includes time missed by Lind. An injured Lind who only plays 40 odd games still worth more
  5. But Hendricks doesn't even have options. He cant even be AAA filler. What is the point of this. If Hendricks is going to be a roster pitcher in the bluejays this year, there is very little hope
  6. Why waste a roster spot on Hendricks He isn't going to start He isn't going to relieve
  7. Is it Navarro? We know Thole isn't going anywhere (Dickey) Edit: that's supposed to be a joke
  8. I do not think that the money saved (10-4=6?) will be enough to offset the wins lost due to losing Lind's bat in the lineup. Who knows I could be wrong and Smoak could be the next Chris Davis
  9. 3 in 5 years, definitely a dynasty in this day and age. Fantastic drafting team CONGRATS!!!!
  10. And then realizing that we aren't going to get it
  11. Better invest your money in a ten year bond
  12. There really is a 0% chance Melky accepts the QO. His agent probably already knows who is going to offer what
  13. Exactly what did Seitzer do to deserve to stay. The jays that had a good offensive years were expected to Those that needed to show improvement didn't. Rasmus Gose Goins all struggled anyways. So good riddance to Switzer Coaches are meaningless anyways
  14. That is so sad. I feel bad for his parents back home not to mention the girl's family. RIP
  15. Right now all three are pencilled in. Given this team's history of signing free agent, This is the likely lineup opening day C - Navarro 1B - EE 2B - Goins SS - Reyes 3B - Lawrie RF - Bautista CF - Gose LF - Pillar DH - Lind Reyes Lawrie Bautista Lind Encarnacion Navarro Pillar Goins Gose
  16. Maybe we can trade teams with Tampa Bay. Roster player to Roster Player? LOL at the end of the day, its a moot point because winning is not on the Jays cards at least in the next 3 to 5 years
  17. I am pretty sure they are okay with a Tampa Bay Rays rebuild after they have been one of the best franchises in MLB over the last 8 years. When teams are good for a while, their fans can sustain a proper rebuild However when teams have not sniffed post season in 21 years, well that is another matter. Of course that situation is unique to our sad bunch
  18. I was speaking from a fan's perspective, not the owners and you don't actually know the Jays make money. Those details are not available, so don't claim to know something you are not privy to
  19. Yep the team is coming of a very successful 83-79 winning year. No need to change course
  20. Jays have not won the world series from 1994 to 2014. So yes if you increase the time Horizon to 25 years then you would be correct. There is an entire generation of torontonians who are now going to University that have never seen a Jays playoff games. I honestly don't think I will see a Jays playoff game in my lifetime.
  21. Maddon is a proven manager, he has led teams to the playoffs 4 times, including a world series appearance. He will be successful other places as well. love this guy as a manager, But the jays are commited to Gibby. Sure Gibby has been a .500 manager for 6-7 years, but Gosh Darnit, Managers don't matter.
