    Cano was worth almost $30M last year according to Fangrgaphs and his 5 wins above replacement value of the likes of Goins/Kawasaki/Tolleson/ would have I think propelled this team to a wild card spot. AA wasted that money on Romero, Morrow, and a host of other non contributors

    I seriously doubt it was even that high If i had to guess I'd say it was like 160/5. But the fans are going to dilute themselves and say he wanted the same money. This place is no shortage of AA defenders

    I would like to know that Cano AAV number, because I am sure that it would still have been better than the current Reyes deal. Even at $35M a year

    why didn't Lester and Shark contribute Wins towards the As Isn't that how it works? If the As didn't trade for Shark they might have ended up with 86 or 85 wins, and out of the playoffs. Is that better? Shark was worth at least 2-3 wins in his As uniform, and per Fwar was worth 4.1 wins this year.

    I am done with the Orioles hate, it sounds bitter. At the end of the day, Orioles did what the Jays couldn't. being bitter makes us sound bad, I am now actually cheering for their success. The better they do, the more incompetent our GM looks.

    Oakland needed the players it traded for just to make that wild card game. If they dont make those deals, then they probably wont even get to 87 wins

    At the end of the day, is the run differential not the defining stat? I mean all the hitter stats are for runs scored by a team, and the opposite for Pitching. To me a team that has a run differential of 111 is pretty damn good. The Orioles gave up a 100 less runs this year, I think offensively both teams were practically even. It came down to 1) Better defense 2) Better pitching management 3) Better bullpen I think thats pretty much it. Our defense up the middle was horrible, and that is the first priority. The catcher, the shortstop and the center fielder. We were below average in every category.

    For some reason I get the feeling Lind is not back next year. I think AA just might be dumb enough to decline that option, and some how put Francisco as his replacement.

    I hope the Orioles win, just because I dislike the way you talk about them and the bitterness of Jays fans. The Orioles have done all the things right, that the fat greek hasn't done. They deserve to do well.

    Would love to see the Orioles do it so all the homer jays fan can shut up But I think it will come down to Dodgers in the NL and either Tigers or Angels in the AL. Tigers have the best pitching IMO

    Don't know why people are upset jays have a chance of finishing 2nd in the AL east. That alone gives Wilner 5 years of ammunition
