  1. What Martinez got, makes things worse for the Jays. OVerpriced Market
  2. Jays current payroll is more than enough to create a successful.franchise The fact that they haven't is on management and not ownership
  3. Like hell you do, I've been laying the ground work since I got here. I have all the necessary criteria - Poor user name - Spanky's ignore list - Calling Mark Buehrle Burly - Suggesting nothing constructive while at the same time always criticizing every move the franchise makes - 100% of my posts are negative - Bumping threads just when the discussion is over to get my final say - Making spelling errors that I cuold correct but choosing not to take the extra second to do so. I got this
  4. I hope to factor in next year into the worst poster category.
  5. Sandavol is not the answer to the Jays Problem. I rather Kratz + Melky >>>> Martin + Dirks Navarro can DH. If they can get Kratz back do it and use the money they were going to use on Martin to retain Melky.
  6. Melky has offered to play for Free for Toronto, but AA still hasn't signed him. Something about doing due dilligence
  7. Hang in there guys Marlins trade 2.0 is coming up. Time to say goodbye to Stroman, Sanchez and Norris
  8. Cuddyer is a very similar player to Melky, Older yes, but production wise Melky is only slightly better IMO. Cuddyer has put up some big season in American League. If this is the market for him, Melky will not get a 5 year deal. More like 4/48 and maybe not even that due to the steroid stigmata
  9. your pick values does not include time value of money considerations
  10. Toronto is probably Martins final choice
  11. I just don't know anymore ;-( I used to have opinions and thoughts, but these days who knows what is good for a team and what isn't
  12. Why? Demand a Trade?
  13. What aboot Burly. Trade him to the Rangers
  14. Why catcher With an arm like that Lawrie can probably close
  15. Sandavols Agent ; we are looking for a four year deal AA : how does one year $5 mil sound with options Sandavols: are you serious.....no AA text to Wilner "We tried. Free agents just won't come here"
  16. Martin was first promoted to the majors due to an injury to Navarro Lmao would be full circle
  17. 8-10 5 years from now is a lot less than today
  18. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/eh-game/blue-jays-outfielder-jose-bautista-awarded-2014-silver-slugger-002805617.html Jose Bautista was among the select group players honoured by MLB with a Silver Slugger award on Thursday. Coming off two straight seasons interrupted by injury, Bautista played 155 games in 2014 and by both traditional stats and advanced metrics was considered to be one of baseball's top offensive players this season. Bautista hit .286 (t-15th)/.403 (2nd)/.524(t-6th), scored 101 runs (3rd), had 103 RBI (t-7th) and smashed 35 home runs (t-5th). His wRC+ was 159 (t-4th) and his wOBA .402 (t-4th). Bautista also won the award in 2010 and 2011 and joins George Bell and Carlos Delgado as the only Blue Jays to receive the award three times. Here are the rest of the Silver Slugger winners from the American and National League: AMERICAN LEAGUE C Yan Gomes, Indians 1B Jose Abreu, White Sox 2B Jose Altuve, Astros SS Alexei Ramirez, White Sox 3B Adrian Beltre, Rangers OF Mike Trout, Angels OF Jose Bautista, Blue Jays OF Michael Brantley, Indians DH Victor Martinez, Tigers NATIONAL LEAGUE C Buster Posey, Giants 1B Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers 2B Neil Walker, Pirates SS Ian Desmond, Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon, Nationals OF Andrew McCutchen, Pirates OF Justin Upton, Braves OF Giancarlo Stanton, Marlins SP Madison Bumgarner, Giants
  19. Yep. Why fix something that's not broken. Happ should be the one moved in favor of Sanchez with Estrada backing Sanchez. Pretty much I think that has been the plan and I expect AA to stick by that
  20. I don't think anything is going to happen in OF. Pompey looks good and ready This team needs a 2b
  21. Definitely. Also Pompey looked more comfortable in his 11 games than Gose did all year. I truly think this is note worthy. There is no reason to hold him back if he is in fact ready for the show
