    Happ has been effective enough this year. In fact, I think AA would have no trouble taking the option on Happ then trading him for an asset, mind you a medioacre asset

    I wonder if a better team can be built from all the prospects/young players AA has traded away like Escobar, Alvarez, Gomes, Rajai Davis, Syndergard etc.

    I would try very hard to see if I can unload Mark B, and have Sanchez start. So effective rotation would be Dickey-Stroman-Hutchison-Sanchez-Happ. I think that if we didn't demand much in return Mark B can actually be unloaded, considering its only 1 year left

    But the problem with this team is the trades AA made. Reversing the Dickey and Reyes trades and we prob have more wins over the last 2 years and an amazing future not to mention tons of payroll room The first error was not outbidding Texas for Darvish. Instead we paid just as much for Dickey and Burleh while at the same time trading prospects Rotation right now could be Darvish Alvarez Stroman Hutchinson Happy With Sanchez and syndergaard waiting I'm the wings

    Both the turf and Canada are real deterrents to getting free agents Turf more so

    If JP had a second wild card we would have seen meaningful baseball maybe even got the second wild card. Don't know how you can say that with a straight face when five years of the current clown has wielded no results

    What I am agreeing He is a middle of the rotation starter who has allowed 6 runs or more four times in his last seven starts In a pennant race Replace him with price and this team is 3-4 games out of the division. Can def see why rays weren't interested in Hutchinson.
