  1. SWR has upside but still far away. Kay was solid in AA and s*** the bed in AAA. They must be really high on these kids, or no way this is the best possible offer for Marcus Stroman.
  2. ^—I just hope this isn’t the case
  3. Mets have pitching prospects?
  4. Bidding war for Eric Sogard
  5. They’ve admitted before on podcast that half their rankings on tools and FV values are pretty BS. They follow certain prospects closely, but it’s difficult to have a strong grasp of top 30 prospects in all 30 teams. While also religiously following the MLB scene. Their top guys are usually not too far off, but beyond that it enters grain of salt territory. They also use a funky value system that isn’t perfect. BA puts a lot, and I mean A LOT of thought and discussions into tool grades and prospect rankings. Especially their top 100 list, it’s pretty much the gold standard and many publications use them as a reference point. They also religiously follow many prospects from their HS and college days, and talk to both pro and amateur scouts when ranking every prospect. Just listen to their recent podcast and it’s very apparent.
  6. Moreno is a really good prospect. Young for level, plus bat with good peripherals for a catcher, shortstop athleticism. K/BB discipline can improve but projectable bat.
  7. Hey look, Sogard has interest. Looks like Bichette is coming August 1st
  8. If true, this changes everything

  10. BA has the blue jays farm system drop from 3rd to 9th. Could change next week depending on trades
  11. FB was hitting triple digits deep into the game. Good life and challenged batters. Had 101 MPH in the 3rd inning. Held 98-100 in the 6th inning. Pulled after 75 pitches on a preset limit. At times, during ABs lost control of FB, when missed location it’s often way low. Went to breaking balls for strikes in some ABs, slider especially nasty. Later in the game, Pearson also flashed a devastating curveball tossed over the plate. Froze a batter with a hammer out of nowhere. Change of speeds between 98-101 to 78-80 curveball is just unfair. Mixing in high-80s sliders kept hitters guessing. Looked very comfortable with Riley Adams behind the plate, worked through some tough ABs when Nate got himself into hitter counts. Longest appearance of the season, low walk count encouraging. (Shouldn’t have been ball 4, the guy clearly checked his swing, but Nate didn’t toss a strike in the PA so ump kinda gave him that free pass) Should’ve been his first double-A win, but BP gave up 5 runs in the 9th after leading 3-0
  12. 8 K, 1 BB, 101 mph is sexy
  13. I hope that’s precautionary, would really suck to lose Thornton to IL for the season
  14. I was planning to make a post on Kevin Smith and Philip Clarke, but decided to wait for a bigger sample. Both doing great though.
  15. I don’t know about Frazier, but they might go a different direction than what everyone is expecting. The riot will be spectacular if Ross Atkins get a haul of “change of scenery” MLB guys instead of blue chippers coming back
  16. LOL we were just talking about it last night
  17. Hi guys, I’m just checking in here to post some recent amazing Bo Bichette throws, for those that haven’t seen it. Carry on.
  18. Let’s disseminate without written consent
  19. https://www.baseballamerica.com/rankings/2019-top-100-prospects/ #6 Bichette #17 Pearson #44 Groshans #97 Pardinho
  20. I feel your pain, women are scary
  21. I understand why people are skeptical about Eric Sogard, but he leads the team in 2.1 fWAR and not too shabby 127 wRC+ He also has half his entire career’s home runs in this season alone. This is clearly a breakout and not just a month long hot streak. That’s gotta have some value to a contender, a lotto ticket arm in A ball, or maybe even a B prospect We fetched something for Steve Pearce and Curtis Granderson, expect similar or slightly better return
